Notes:
Conclusions 1. The thermal decomposition of tetra-n-butyltin in the interval 270–420° is zero order and proceeds on the surface of the deposited tin. The activation energy of the reaction is equal to 26.5 kcal/mole. 2. The reaction has an induction period due to the generation of drops of tin. The activation energy of the reaction in the induction period is equal to 33.9 kcal/mole. 3. The carbon concentration in tin produced by thermal decomposition of tetra-n-butyltin is close to the value of its solubility in tin.
