Zusammenfassung Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sprechen für die Annahme, daß die in vivo festzustellende Wirkung von Penicillamin auf das Kollagen nicht auf eine Hemmung der Prolin- oder Lysin-Hydroxylase zurückzuführen ist. Indirekt bestätigen diese Befunde die bereits ausgesprochene Vermutung [8], daß Penicillamin in einer späten Phase der Faserbildung, nämlich beim Vorgang der Quervernetzung, eingreift.

Summary The results confirm that in vivo the established effect of penicillamine on to collagen cannot be attributed to an inhibition of the proline- or lysine-hydroxylase. These results indirectly corroborate the hypothesis already expressed [8] that, in an advanced phase of the fibre formation, penicillamine intervenes into the function of the cross-linking.
