Summary A case of suicide with 100 tablets of Opipramol (Insidon, 5.0 g) is described. The patient was admitted to the hospital 12–18 hours after ingestion of the tablets. At first the patient was in a state of clear consciousness but he died later following a series of epileptic attacks. The pathological, histological and chemical findings are reported, along with the concentration of the drug in the various organs and cerebral sections.
