Zusammenfassung In Untersuchungen zur Entwicklungsbiologie von Argas (Persicargas) persicus, A. (P.) arboreus und A. (P.) walkerae, die unter konstanten abiotischen und biotischen Bedingungen durchgeführt wurden, konnten deutlich quantifizierbare, speziesbedingte Unterschiede im Saugverhalten der Larven, der Häutungsdauer der Larven und der einzelnen Nymphenstadien, der Zahl der zur Ausbildung von adulten Zecken erforderlichen postlarvalen Stadien, der Dauer der Imaginalmetamorphose sowie arttypische zeitliche und quantitative Merkmale für die Oviposition nachgewiesen werden. In der Dauer der Embryogenese bestanden ebenfalls charakteristische interspezifische Unterschiede.

Summary Investigations on the developmental biology of Argas (Persicargas) persicus, A. (P.) arboreus und A. (P.) walkerae, which were carried out under constant abiotic and biotic conditions, revealed distinct quantitative and species-dependent differences in the sucking behaviour of larvae, the moulting period of larvae and nymphs, and in the necessary number of postlarval stages for the development of adult ticks, as well as differences in the duration of the imaginal metamorphosis and the species-typical temporal and quantitative features for oviposition. In the duration of embryogenesis also characteristic interspecific variations could be demonstrated.
