We report the production of binary metal metallocarbohedrenes. Direct laser vaporization of mixtures of zirconium or hafnium powders with titanium carbide yield the species TixZryC12 and TixHfyC12 (x+y=8). These results are discussed in the context of recent theoretical models addressing the stabilities and structures of the metallocarbohedrenes, their formation mechanism and possible implications for the synthesis of "doped'' metallocarbohedrenes.
