Description / Table of Contents: Contents To calculate magnetic fields with arbitrary material distributions and excitations the given vector potential differential equation is transformed into an algebraic system of equations (Finite Element Method). The application of the ampere turns rule leads (considerably more simply) to identical equations. Allowance for non-linearities is provided by the Newton-Raphson method. The transformation matrices are given for anisotropic material properties. Finally, a solver for sparsely populated matrices is deseribed.

Notes: Summary Two families with X-linked dominant hypophosphatemia (McKusick No. *30780) were investigated for linkage of the disease locus with several marker genes defined by cloned, single-copy DNA sequences derived from defined regions of the X chromosome. Close linkage was found with DNA markers DXS41 (p99-6) and DXS43 (pD2) at Xp22, suggesting a location of the HPDR gene on the distal short arm of the X chromosome.

Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Seit dem 30.
Notes: Summary Since April 30, 1986, the radioactivity of the fission products released by the accident of the Chernobyl reactor has been measured in the air of the city of Ulm. The airborne dust samples were collected with flow calibrated samplers on cellulose acetate membrane filters and counted with a high resolution gamma ray spectrometer. Later on, the radioactivity measurements were expanded to other relevant environmental samples contaminated by radioactive atmospheric precipitates including grass, spruce needles, mosses, lichens, various kinds of food, drinking water, asphalt and concrete surface layers, municipal sewage sludge and sewage sludge ash. This paper reports the obtained results.
