Zusammenfassung Die Po2-Messungen mit Hilfe von Gold-Mikroelektroden zeigen, daß die Rattenniere in zwei Zonen unterschiedlicher O2-Versorgung gegliedert ist. In der Rinde und der äußeren Markzone liegt der Mittelwert der Po2-Verteilung mit 38 mm Hg relativ hoch. Die Einzelwerte weisen eine erhebliche regionale Streuung auf. In der Tiefe von etwa 3 mm fällt der O2-Partialdruck in der Rattenniere steil ab. Im Bereich der inneren Markzone und Papille ergibt die Po2-Messung einen Mittelwert von 10 mm Hg, wobei nur geringe regionale Variationen der Einzelwerte zu beobachten sind. Die versorgungsbestimmenden Parameter, insbesondere die renale Durchblutung sowie die Blutgas- und pH-Werte, liegen in dem aus der Literatur bekannten Normbereich. Daraus wird geschlossen, daß durch die Untersuchung, speziell durch die Halterung der Niere, die Versorgungsbedingungen nicht verändert werden. Die mittleren Capillarabstände nehmen von 32 µm in der Rinde auf 18 µm in der äußeren Markzone ab, um im Bereich der inneren Markzone wieder auf 23 µm anzusteigen. Die hohen O2-Partialdrucke in der Rinde werden auf die hohe Durchblutung in diesem Gebiet zurückgeführt. In der äußeren Markzone sorgen die kleinen Capillarabstände dafür, daß sich trotz relativ geringer Durchblutung die Po2-Werte von denen in der Rinde kaum unterscheiden. Die kleinen O2-Partialdrucke in der inneren Markzone lassen sich als Folge der geringen Durchblutung, der größeren Capillarabstände sowie eines O2-Diffusionsshunts zwischen den ab- und aufsteigenden Schenkeln der Vasa recta interpretieren.

Summary The Po2 measurements using gold microelectrodes reveal two zones of different O2 supply in rat kidneys. In the cortex and outer medulla the mean value of 38 mm Hg for Po2 distribution is relatively high. The single values show considerable regional variations. There is an abrupt decrease of O2 partial pressure in a depth of about 3 mm in the rat kidney. In the inner medulla and papilla a mean Po2 value of 10 mm Hg is measured and only slight regional variations of the single values can be observed. The parameters determining the supply conditions, esp., renal blood flow as well as the values for blood gases and pH, agree with the standard values of previous studies. This means that the supply conditions are not changed by the investigations, esp. by the supporting of the kidney. The mean intercapillary distances decrease from 32 µm in the cortex to 18 µm in the outer medulla, they increase to 23 µm in the inner medulla. The high Po2 values in the cortex are explained by the high blood flow. In the outer medulla zone the smaller intercapillary distances ensure that the Po2 values hardly differ from those in the cortex despite the relatively low blood flow. The low O2 partial pressures in the inner medulla zone can be interpreted as a consequence of the low blood flow, wider intercapillary distances, and an O2 diffusion shunt between the descending and ascending loops of the vasa recta.
