    Notizen: A variety of model compounds for the pyrimidinediyl-based rigid-rod polyamide poly[imino-(pyrimidine-2,5-diyl)-imino-tetraphthaloyl] (PPYMT) was prepared, in order to compare their conformations to several model compounds of the related, fully aromatic polymer poly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide) (PPTA). In particular, the structures of N-(2-pyrimidyl)benzamide (PYMB) and its complexed form bis[(N-pyrimidin-2-yl)benzamide]nickel(II) dichloride (NiPYMB) were determined by X-ray diffraction. The molecular packing in these crystals provides us with a model for the possible ‘cross-linking’ of PPYMT fibers. The structures of the trimer model compounds N,N′ -bis(2-pyrimidyl)terephthalamide (PYTA) and N,N′ -bis(benzoyl)-2,5-diaminopyrimidine (BDAP) yield information about the conformation of PPYMT chains and are compared to analogous model compounds of PPTA.

    Notizen: 1,3-Addition of Azides to Azadecaborane: 6-Azadecaborane-4,9-diyltriazenesnido-NB9H12 (1) reacts with azides RN3 to form a coordinative B-N bond between B9 and N1 of RN3, accompanied by the α-addition of the B4-H bond of 1 to the N3 atom of RN3. The products 2a, b (R = H, CH2Ph, respectively) thus contain an azadecaborane skeleton and a five-membered unsaturated B2N3 ring with a common B-B edge. The product 2a crystallizes in the space group Pna21.

    Notizen: Eight (Z)-isomers of lycopene were prepared by stereocontrolled syntheses and fully characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, mass, and UV/VIS spectroscopy: (5Z)-, (7Z)-, (15Z)-, (5Z,5′Z)-, (7Z,7′Z)-, (7Z,9Z)-, (9Z,9′Z)-, and (7Z,9Z,7′Z,9′Z)-lycopene. Six additional (Z)-isomers, namely (9Z)-, (13Z)-, (5Z,9′Z)-, (9Z,13′Z)-, (5Z,9Z,5′Z)-, and (5Z,13Z,5′Z)-lycopene, were isolated in small quantities from isomer mixtures by semiprep. HPLC and were identified by 1H-NMR spectroscopy.

    Notizen: Cleavage of Bulky Diaryl Ditellurides with Bromine and Iodine; Crystal Structure of Et4N+ 2,4,6-(i-C3H7)3C6H2TeI-2Bis(2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl) ditelluride (1a), obtained from 2,4,6-triisopropylphenylmagnesium bromide with tellurium followed by oxidation with oxygen, and bis(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl) ditelluride (1b) react with equimolar amounts of bromine and iodine to provide new monomeric arenetellurenyl halides 2,4,6-R3C6H2TeX (2a, b, 3a, b: R = i-C3H7, t-C4H9; X = Br, I). Both tellurenyl iodides are thermally more stable than the corresponding bromides. Green 2,4,6-(i-C3H7)3C6H2TeI (3a) reacts with Et4N+I- to give the stable, red adduct Et4N+ 2,4,6-(i-C3H7)3C6H2TeI-2 (4a). An X-ray crystal structure determination of 4a revealed a T-shaped structure of the hypervalent aryldiiodotellurate(II) anion. Iodide-ion transfer between aryldiiodotellurate(II) and arenetellurenyl iodide is a fast process (1H-NMR time scale). 125Te-NMR data of this anion and of tellurenyl halides are compared with those of the ditellurides and of lithium benzenetellurolates (LiTeR·(THF)x).

    Notizen: N-(p-Toluolsulfonyl)glycinester 1b reagiert mit 2-(Brommethyl)nicotinsäureester 2 zum Nicotinsäurederivat 3b. Dieses läßt sich unter Eliminierung von Sulfinsäure zum 1,7-Naphthyridin-derivat 7 cyclisieren, aus dem die im Titel genannte Verbindung 8 erhalten wird.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Malondiamidines, II. - Condensation Reactions with Aromatic AldehydesCondensation of malondiamidines 4 with double molar quantities of aldehydes 1 leads to the novel 2,5-disubstituted 4,6-diaminopyrimidines 6a - n. The reaction course (aminal formation, Knoevenagel condensation, and sigmatropic 1,5-hydrogen shift) is discussed. Use of salicylaldehyde in this reaction furnishes the benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidines 13a - c by additional elimination of the amino component. The benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine 16 is obtained by condensation of salicylaldehyde and 3-amino-3-(1-pyrrolidinyl)acrylonitrile (15) in a 2:1 molar ratio.
    Notizen: 2,5-Disubstituierte 4,6-Diaminopyrimidine 6a - n werden durch Kondensation von Malondiamidinen 4 mit Aldehyden 1 im Molverhältnis 1:2 erhalten. Der Chemismus dieser Reaktion (Aminalbildung, Knoevenagel-Kondensation, sigmatrope 1,5-Wasserstoffverschiebung) wird diskutiert. Salicylaldehyd als Aldehydkomponente liefert unter analogen Bedingungen unter zusätzlicher Eliminierung der Aminkomponente die Benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine 13a - c. Das Benzopyrano [2,3-d]pyrimidin 16 wird auch durch Kondensation von Salicylaldehyd und 3-Amino-3-(1-pyrrolidinyl)acrylonitril (15) gewonnen.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Syntheses of (-)-(S)- and (+)-(R)-Goniothalamin; Absolute Configuration of the Naturally Occurring (+)-Goniothalamin(-)-(S)-Goniothalamin and its naturally occurring (+)-(R)-enantiometer were synthesised from configurationally defined precursors. The absolute configurations were additionally confirmed by ozonolysis to (-)-(S)- and (+)-(R)-malic acid. The absolute configuration given for the compound in the literature is thus corrected.
    Notizen: (-)-(S)-Goniothalamin und das (+)-(R)-Enantiomer wurden aus konfigurativ definierten Vorstufen synthetisiert. Die absoluten Konfigurationen wurden zusätzlich durch Ozonabbau zu (-)-(S)- und (+)-(R)-Äpfelsäure bestätigt. Die in der Literatur angegebene absolute Konfiguration des Naturstoffs wird berichtigt.

They are isotypic and crystallize with the hexagonal system (P6, Z = 1; 1: a = 1010.87(3); c = 794.30(4) pm, R = 0.023, Rw = 0.016; 2: a = 1018.58(3); c = 794.74(4) pm, R = 0.026, Rw = 0.018). The anions [Re3Cl12]3- are connected via H3O+ cation (C.N. 3). The large channels that run in the [001] direction contain, alternatively, the cations [MEn3]3+ and the lonesome Cl--anions

Die Anionen [ Re3Cl12]3- werden über H3O+ (C.N. 3) verknüpft; in die entstehenden Kanäle sind längs [001] abwechselnd die Kationen [MEn3]3+ und die einsamen Cl--Ionen eingelagert.
