    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Der Einfluß chronischer UV-Lichteinwirkung auf das dermale Bindegewebe der Nacktmaus (Ng/-) wurde licht- und elektronenmikroskopisch untersucht (25 Tiere; Dauer der Bestrahlung 8,5 Monate; tägliche Strahlendosis 40±2 J/cm2). Die induzierten Bindegewebsveränderungen entsprechen weitgehend dem Bild, wie es bei der menschlichen aktinischen Elastose angetroffen wird.
    Notizen: Summary The effect of long-term ultraviolet irradiation on the connective tissue of the skin was investigated in 25 naked (Ng/-) mice which received a total daily radiant dose of 40±2 J/cm2 for a period of 8.5 months. The produced alterations were very similar to those found in actinic elastosis of humans, as assessed by histologic and electron-microscopic criteria.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Es wird berichtet über sonographische Routinekontrollen nach Nierentransplantation bei 72 Patienten. Die Kontrollen sollten in erster Linielokale Komplikationen im Operationsgebiet erfassen und diese gegebenenfalls von einer Abstoßungsreaktion bei nicht eindeutigen klinischen Befunden abgrenzen. Bei den 72 Patienten wurden insgesamt 295 Sonographien durchgeführt. Es fanden sich 22 lokale Komplikationen, von denen 15 im klinisch noch stummen Stadium sonographisch erfaßt wurden. Diese Patienten konnten dann frühzeitig einer chirurgischen bzw. urologischen Behandlung zugeführt werden. Aufgrund dieser Ergebnisse erscheint uns die routinemäßige sonographische Kontrolle des Nierentransplantates zur frühzeitigen Erfassung einer lokalen Komplikation im OP-Gebiet gerechtfertigt, während nuclearmedizinische Methoden bei der Frage nach vasculären Veränderungen und bei gestörter Transplantatfunktion eingesetzt werden sollten.
    Notizen: Summary Routine follow-up examinations by ultrasonography after renal transplantation were performed in 72 patients from December 1978 until March 1980. The aim of these controls was to recognizelocal complications in the area of surgery in order to differentiate from a rejection reaction in patients with unclear clinical symptoms. 22 out of 72 patients had local complications. 15 out of those 22 were detected by ultrasound in a state without clinical symptoms, which then could be treated by surgical or urological intervention. We therefore believe that routine follow-up examinations after renal transplantation by ultrasound are indicated in order to recognize local complications. Nuclear procedures should be employed if alteration of blood flow or disturbed function of the transplanted kidney are considered.

Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die wesentlichsten Eigenschaften des “blob” -Bildes, d. h. den Einfluß der nicht-uniformen Ausdehnung der Kette auf die Relaxationszeiten und die Intrinsic-Viskosität, unterscheiden sich im Detail jedoch von den Ergebnissen von DAUD und JANNINK sowie WEILL und DES CLOIZEAUX. Entgegen den Voraussagen wird ein zweites Plateau in [η(ω)] nicht beobachtet.
    Notizen: The dynamics of polymer solutions are consistently treated by the BIXON-ZWANZIG theory including both hydrodynamic and excluded volume interactions. The results confirm generally the essential features of the “blob” picture in polymer dynamics, i.e. the influence of non-uniform chain expansion on the relaxation time spectra and the intrinsic viscosity, but differs in detail from results by DAOUD and JANNINK and WEILL and DES CLOIZEAUX. Especially no second plateau in [η(ω)] is observed.

This permits comparison between branched and nonbranched polydisperse polymers of certain physical properties that depend upon the relative degree of polymerization, z, and upon the ratio of branched to nonbranched molecule mean-square radii, g = Rbr2/Rl2. The distribution function for the polydisperse polymer possessing randomly distributed trifunctional branch points is restated in terms of a modified Bessel function of the first kind. This form is of use since properties of the Bessel function are known and the tabulated values of this function are generally available.
