Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Spatergebnisse der rekonstruktiven Arterienchirurgie werden an 5245 operierten Kranken der Chirurgischen Universitätskliniken Köln und München (1959–1974) dargestellt. Ruptur) Voraussetzung.
Notes: Summary The long-term follow-up results of reconstructive vascular surgery are demonstrated in 5245 patients operated on in the University Surgical Clinics in Cologne and Munich (1959–1974). With low surgical lethality and morbidity, operative treatment of cerebrovascular insufficiency (378 patients) or renovascular hypertension (257 patients) guarantees longer survival. In cases of aorto-iliacal (2547 patients) and femoropopliteal (1440 patients) occlusion, the object of therapy is the preservation of the extremity. For good results, operative treatment of peripheral and aortic aneurysms should be performed before complications such as thromboembilism or rupture of the aneurysm occur.

Notes: Summary The suprapubic femorofemoral crossover bypass has been inserted in 36 patients with unilateral iliac artery obstruction since 1969. Of the grafts, 25 remained patent; operative mortality was 5.6 percent and a further 4 patients have died since. Two thrombosed grafts were cleared without success. The deep femoral artery alone can keep the graft patent. In 9 cases the peripheral site had to be cleared. The proximal anastomosis should be placed higher than the distal one. The steal syndrome may occur but is not of any clinical significance. This alternative procedure is recommended for the high-risk patient.

Notes: Abstract We present a study of two-particle correlations in proton-emulsion nucleus reactions at 400 GeV. In particular the correlations at different nuclear excitations and different rapidity regions are treated. Positive correlations, depending on nuclear excitation, are observed in the rapidity region η〈1.5.
