    Description / Table of Contents: 1,1-Dithiooxalic Acid Derivatives as Ligands in Transition Metal Complexes: Structure of O-Methyl-1,1-dithiooxalato-bis(triphenylphosphine)copper(I) and silver(I)Despite O-Alkyl-1,1-dithiooxalates are also tetradentate thioligands their tendency towards the formation of multi-nuclear bridged chelates as found for the basic 1,1-dithiooxalate does practically not exist because of derivatisation. The reaction with triphenylposphinemetal(I)-halogenides yields defined mono-nuclear mixed ligand complexes: O-Methyl-1,1-dithiooxalato-bis(triphenylphosphine)copper(I) (2) and silver(I) (1). X-ray analysis shows that both complexes (1 and 2) are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/n: (Ph3P)2Ag(S2C2O2Me) (1) with a = 12.794(1), b = 21.314(4), c = 13.560(1) Å, β = 97.983(6)°, and (Ph3P)2Cu(S2C2O2Me) (2) with a = 12.622(1), b = 21.196(2), c = 13.426(1) Å, β = 96.533(7)°. These complexes are the first authentic examples of exclusively end-on coordinated thiooxalate.
    Notes: Obwohl potentiell auch vierzähnig, ist die Tendenz von O-Alkyl(bzw. Aryl)-1,1-dithio-oxalaten zur Ausbildung von Brücken in Mehrkern-Chelaten durch die Derivatisierung gegenüber dem Stammliganden 1,1-Dithiooxalat praktisch nicht mehr vorhanden. Durch Umsetzung mit Triphenylphosphinmetall(I)-halogeniden sind definierte einkernige Gemischtligandenkomplexe zugänglich. O-Methyl-1,1-dithiooxalato-bis(triphenylphosphin)kupfer(I) und -silber(I) konnten mittels Röntgenkristallstrukturanalyse strukturell gesichert werden. Beide Komplexe sind isostrukturell und kristallisieren in der monoklinen Raumgruppe P21/n: (Ph3P)2Ag(S2C2O2Me) (1), mit a = 12,794(1), b = 21,314(4), c = 13,560(1) Å, β = 97,983(6)° und (Ph3P)2Cu(S2C2O2Me) (2), mit a = 12,622(1), b = 21,196(2), c = 13,426(1) Å, β = 96,533(7)°. Diese beiden Komplexe sind die ersten strukturell gesicherten Vertreter mit ausschließlich end-on koordiniertem Thiooxalat.

    Description / Table of Contents: Coordination of Silver(I) by N,N-Diethyl-N′-benzoyl Thiourea in Solution and in the Solid StateSilver(I) reacts in dioxane/water solution with N,N-diethyl-N′-benzoyl thiourea HL to give cationic, neutral, and anionic complexes depending on the pH value, the molar ratio of the reactants and their concentrations. The ligand in these complexes coordinates in various ways. Complex stability constants have been determined by pAg and pH potentiometry. Representative complexes have been isolated in the solid state. One of them is a cyclic tetramer [AgL]4 the structure of which has been determined by X-ray diffraction.
    Notes: Silber(I) bildet mit N,N-Diethyl-N′-benzoyl-thioharnstoff HL in Dioxan/Wasser-Mischung, abhängig vom pH-Wert, dem molaren Verhältnis der Reaktanden und ihren Konzentrationen, kationische, neutrale und anionische Komplexe, in denen der Ligand in unterschiedlicher Weise koordiniert. Für diese Komplexe wurden pAg- und pH-potentiometrisch Stabilitätskonstanten bestimmt. Repräsentative Komplexe konnten in festem Zustand isoliert werden, darunter ein cyclischer Komplex [AgL]4, dessen Struktur durch Röntgenbeugung bestimmt wurde.

The structures of these compounds were discussed using IR-, UV/VIS-, 1H-NMR-, 13C-NMR- and EPR data. The activation parameters of the chelate ring inversion of titanocene dithiolenes (Cp2TiL) and the x-ray structure of Cp2Ti(dmid) are given.
    Notes: Synthese und Eigenschaften neuer Metallocen-Dithiolen-Chelate Cp2ML der Metall(IV)-Ionen (M = Ti, Zr, Hf) sowie des Vanadiums mit L = dmit (1,3-Dithiol-2-thion-4,5-dithiolat), dmt (1,2-Dithiol-3-thion-4,5-dithiolat), dmid (1,3-Dithiol-2-on-4,5-dithiolat) und dmise (1,3-Dithiol-2-selon-4,5-dithiolat) werden beschrieben. Die Strukturen der Verbindungen werden anhand der IR-, UV/VIS-, Massen-, 1H-NMR-, 13C-NMR- bzw. EPR-Spektren diskutiert. Die durch dynamische Kernresonanzspektroskopie bestimmten Aktivierungs-parameter der Chelatringinversion der Titanocen-Dithiolene (Cp2TiL), sowie die Röntgenkristallstrukturanalyse von Cp2Ti(dmid) werden vorgestellt.
