    Description / Table of Contents: Summary The acid anion of N-butyl-N′-benzenesulfonylthiourea (BuBsT) forms numerous 1/1 complexes with the univalent ions Cu(I), Ag(I) and Tl(I). The crystal structures of two different copper(I) clusters (Cu(BuBsT))x, (x=6, 4) are discussed. The hexamer containing a distorted Cu6 octahedron is luminescent, while the analogous tetramer containing a distorted Cu4 tetrahedron is not. The copper atoms of both clusters form coordinate linkages with the sulfonamide nitrogen and the thiourea sulphur of the ligands (S,N-coordination). One sulfonyl oxygen per ligand is bound to the NHC4H9 group of the same ligand through a hydrogen bond. Ag(BuBsT) forms three different luminescent modifications. One of them (Ag(BuBsT)-II) is isotype to (Cu(BuBsT))6 and therefore hexamer, too. Tl(BuBsT) mainly forms dimers in CHCl3 solution.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Das Säureanion von N-Butyl-N′-benzolsulfonylthioharnstoff (BuBsT) bildet mit Cu(I) einen lumineszierenden hexameren und einen nicht lumineszierenden tetrameren Cluster (Cu(BuBsT))x; x=6, 4. Röntgenstrukturanalysen belegen für x=6 eine verzerrt oktaedrische und für x=4 eine verzerrt tetraedrische Anordnung der Cu-Atome. Die Liganden beider Cluster sind über den Thioharnstoff-Schwefel und den Sulfonamid-Stickstoff mit den Cu-Atomen verknüpft (S,N-Koordination). Jeweils ein Sulfonyl-Sauerstoffatom pro Ligand bildet eine intramolekulare Wasserstoffbrücke zu der NHC4H9-Gruppe der gleichen Ligandeinheit aus. Ag(BuBsT) tritt in Form von drei lumineszierenden Modifikationen auf, von denen eine (Ag(BuBsT)-II) hexamer ist (isotyp mit (Cu(BuBsT))6). Tl(BuBsT) liegt in CHCl3-Lösung überwiegend als Dimer vor.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary Proton Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) analysis calibration curves (i.e. intensity of analytical signal as a function of concentration c i ) are determined on thick solid samples with rare earth element concentrations c i ≤0.3g/g. The calibration curves are linear at low concentrations c i ≤0.3 weight% at proton energies 1.7≤E PO≤ 2.5MeV. The precision of the quantitative analysis amounts to ±4 %. The shape of the curves at higher concentrations may be understood by simple qualitative considerations. Distortions by interelement-effects caused by additional other rare earth elements j in concentrations c j ≤2 weight% are not detectable. The agreement between the experimental and the calculated intensities for different matrices is very good at low concentrations c i ≤1 weight% of analyte.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Es werden Eichkurven (d. h. Intensität des Analysensignals in Abhängigkeit von der Analytkonzentration c i ) für die protoneninduzierte Röntgenspektralanalyse (PIXE) dicker Festkörperproben mit Seltenen Erdelementen im Konzentrationsbereich c i ≤0,3g/g aufgenommen. Diese Eichkurven verlaufen bei niedrigen Konzentrationen c i ≤ 0,3 Gewichts-% und Protonenenergien 1,7≤EPO≤2,5MeV linear. Die Genauigkeit der quantitativen Analyse beträgt ±4 %. Der Verlauf der Eichkurven bei höheren Konzentrationen kann durch einfache qualitative Überlegungen verstanden werden. Es werden keine Störungen durch Interelementeffekte beobachtet, die durch zusätzliche andere Seltene Erdelemente j in Konzentrationen c j ≤2 Gewichts-% hervorgerufen werden. Die Übereinstimmung der experimentellen und berechneten Intensitäten für verschiedene Matrices ist bei niedrigen Analytkonzentrationen c i ≤1 Gewichts-% sehr gut.

    Notes: Tetrahydro-1.4-oxazine mit größeren N-ständigen cycloaliphatischen oder langkettigen Alkylgruppen Verbindungen dieser Art sind Gegenstand in- und ausländischer Patentanmeldungen. zeigen gute bis sehr gute fungizide Wirkung gegen Pilzerkrankungen von Kulturpflanzen, insbesondere gegen echte Mehltauarten. An Hand mehrerer hundert Verbindungen wurde versucht, zu Kenntnissen über die Zusammenhänge zwischen chemischer Konstitution und fungizider Wirkung und damit zu optimal wirksamen Verbindungen zu gelangen. Es wurden der N-Substituent  -  seine Kettenlänge und Ringgröße  -  sowie Art, Zahl und Stellung der C-ständigen Substituenten im Heterocyclus abgewandelt. Weiterhin wurde die Änderung der fungiziden Wirkung durch Fixieren des freien Elektronenpaars am Stickstoffatom des Tetrahydro-1.4-oxazins durch Alkylierung, Aminoxyd- und Salzbildung sowie Komplexbildung mit Schwermetallsalzen geprüft.

The factors varied were the nature, chain length, and ring size of the N-substituent, and the nature, number, and positions of the C-substituents on the heterocyclic system. Furthermore, the lone electron pair at the nitrogen atom was incorporated by alkylation, formation of amine oxides or salts, or by complexing with heavy metal salts, and the resulting changes in the fungicidal activity were determined.

    Notes: New synthetic methods developed in the field of organotin compounds since 1959 are reviewed. The use of alkyl aluminum compounds brings an advance in the preparation of tetraalkyltin derivatives, alkyltin halides, and alkyltin hydrides. Organotin hydrides offer new possibilities for the production of monomeric and polymeric organotin compounds. Diethyltin and diphenyltin, which are obtained by catalytic dehydrogenation of the respective dialkyltin dihydrides, are cyclic compounds. - The literature since 1959 is reviewed.
