N-Hydroxy Compounds as Catalysts for the Aminolysis of Activated EstersThe aminolysis of negatively substituted phenyl esters such as 4-nitrophenyl or 2,4,5-trichlorophenyl esters is accelerated in polar solvents, e. g. dimethylformamide, by N-hydroxy compounds with the approximate acidity of acetic acid. According to different tests the following compounds are particularly suitable catalysts : 1-hydroxybezotriazole, 1-hydroxy-2-pyridone, and 3-hydroxy-4-oxo-3,4-dihydrochinazoline. This aminolysis was utilized in the synthesis of the peptides 5 and 8.

Die Aminolyse negativ substituierter Phenylester, wie 4-Nitrophenyl- oder 2,4,5-Trichlorphenylester wird durch N-Hydroxyverbindungen, die etwa die Acidität der Essigsäure besitzen, in polaren Lösungsmitteln wie Dimethylformamid stark beschleunigt. In verschiedenen Tests haben sich besonders 1-Hydroxybenzotriazol, 1-Hydroxy-2-pyridon und 3-Hydroxy-4-oxo-3,4-dihydrochinazolin als Katalysatoren bewährt. Mit Hilfe dieses Verfahrens wurden die Peptide 5 und 8 dargestellt.
