Notes: Abstract Using the statistical model, an estimate is obtained for the critical angular momentum when the rotational band ofγ-rays ends up in reactions with heavy ions. A model of classical non-quantized rotation is proposed for angular momenta exceeding the critical value. Estimates for the intensity ofγ-radiation and the descend time along the yrast-line proceeding the quantal rotation are given.

Notes: Abstract In the framework of the exciton model an expression for the relaxation time of nonequilibrium nuclear system has been obtained. It was demonstrated that one can determine this time by the values of transition rates at equilibrium.

Notes: Abstract We present a calculation of the nuclear level densityω ph(E) for a fixed number of particlesp and holesh, taking into account the energy dependence of the singleparticle level densityg(ɛ). We demonstrate the significant effects of the finite depth of the potential well (continuum effect) and the finite surface thickness of the nucleus on the value ofω ph(E).

Notes: Abstract We discuss a new mechanism of splitting of giant multipole resonances (GMR) in spherical neutron-rich nuclei. This mechanism is associated with the basic properties of an asymmetric drop of nuclear Fermi liquid. In addition to well-known isospin shell-model predictions, our approach can be used to describe the GMR splitting phenomenon in the wide nuclear-mass region A ∼ 40–240. For the dipole isovector modes, the splitting energy, the relative strength of resonance peaks, and the contribution to the energy-weighted sum rules are in agreement with experimental data for the integrated cross sections for photonuclear (γ, n) and (γ, p) reactions.

Notes: Abstract Nuclear γ-transitions via an electronic-bridge (EB) mechanism are considered theoretically. The relative probabilities for the elastic and inelastic EB deexcitation effect are calculated in the framework of Dirac-Hartree-Slater (DHS) model of atom. The probability of O+−O+ γ-transitions due to EB mechanism are discussed. The results of calculations are compared with experimental data.

Notes: Abstract Mechanism for nuclear excitation by electron transition both after the capture of the electron by the positive ion (inverse internal conversion-IIC) and after the deexcitation of electron states of the atom (NEET) is studied theoretically. Expressions for NEET probability and IIC cross section are obtained in the case of the arbitrary multipolarities of the transitions. Theoretical estimates of the probabilities are smaller than experimental values for the both cases.

Notes: Abstract An expression for the nuclear level density has been obtained for fixed number of particlesp and holesh taking into account the energy dependence of the single-particle state density for a gas model of noninteracting particles. The applicability of the equidistant spacing model (g=const.) is analyzed for the casesp≃h andp− h≫1. The possibility of factorization of the angular momentum dependence is studied provided g≠const. A semi-classical expression for the dependence of the single-particle density on angular momentum projection has been obtained without specifying the nuclear potential. Them-dependence ofg(ɛ, m) is shown to be close to a Gaussian for the infinite square well potential. A simple expression which takes into account the effect of the Pauli exclusion principle is proposed for the angular momentum dispersion of the level density distribution.

Notes: Abstract Momentum conservation equations for the viscous fermi-liquid are derived from the kinetic Landau Vlasov equation with taking into account the retardation effects in the collision integral. Viscosity coefficients for the longitudinal and transversal zero sound in nuclear matter have been calculated. Results obtained in the semiclassical macroscopic nuclear model are compared with phenomenological values of the viscosity coefficients fitted to experimental data for the mean kinetic energies of fission fragments.

Notes: Abstract We extend the semiclassical approaches to the dynamics of nuclear collective motions, based on the Wigner transform of quantum mean field theories, to the inclusion of pairing correlation effects. We develop simple analytic equations for the contributions to giant resonance frequencies, which are in general quite small. We are able also to study pairing vibrations, related to oscillations of the superfluid part. Hydrodynamics-like solutions are obtained, without distortion of the Fermi surface, corresponding to low energy excitations.

Notes: Abstract The nuclearγ-transitions via excitation of the atomic electrons (electronic bridges) is considered in the framework of the strong coupling channels method. The nuclearM4 transitions from the lowest isomeric level of nuclei93Nb and193Ir in the both mechanisms of elastic and inelastic electronic bridges are investigated. The comparison between the semiclassical and selfconsistent Dirac-Hartree-Fock-Slater calculations is presented. The derived valuesκ f of a relative probability of nuclearγ-transition via the atomic excitation (inelastic electronic bridge)κ f(93Nb)=6.9·10−2 andκ f(193Ir)=1.4·10−2 are in agreement with the experimental data.
