Description / Table of Contents:
Summary A new method of studying unconfined flow through porous media has been illustrated. This method is based on the use of variational inequalities which allows us to obtain uniqueness and existence theormes. New numerical methods have been adopted which give the solution of these problems as limit of an increasing and decreasing monotonic sequence. Such procedures, other than being justified from the point of view of convergence and stability, are competitive with those actually in use both for the rapidity of convergence and for the simplicity of the programmation. Below, we shall illustrate some of the numerical results.

Vengono riportati alcuni risultati numerici.
