Notes:
Absorptivity spectra are presented in the far-infrared (15–700 cm−1) from 10 K to room temperature for Cd1−xMnxTe alloys (x=0–0.64); this covers almost the entire composition range in which the cubic structure is stable. The results are interpreted in terms of the known phonon spectra of these materials, as determined from far-infrared reflectivity, neutron scattering, and Raman scattering measurements, and in terms of anharmonic effects due primarily to an impurity-induced disorder.
