Notes: Abstract In the present article the logical structure of applied social sciences will be discussed. Applied sciences don't regard causes and effects but only means and ends. Therefore the logical structure of means-end-argumentations in social sciences will be shown. One can perceive also the important part of normative statements. In summarizing, we can declare that in social sciences there is partly a need to reflect on the postulate of a value-free social science. But it is not our purpose to introduce normative statements as scientific ones. What counts is a liberal attitude towards all realizable norms.

Notes: Summary Hans Albert's famous principle ‘Sollen impliziert Können’, which should bridge the two disparate domains of normative decisions and empirical informations is a constitutive one of the Popperian metaethical philosophy of social relations. At first we have to clarify the logical character of the principle with the help of a ‘logic of presupposition’ resulted from Rescher, Bunge and Stegmüller. The next step is to outline the decision theory under risk and to develop the traditional basic model of this approach. In showing that the normative decision theory (under risk) annul the regulative principle of empirical realization it will be discussed a reconcilation between the decision theory and the metaethical principle mentioned above, which involves a new interpretation of the decision theory. This understanding lies between the approach of a normative decision theory and the approach of a pure empirical decision theory: the former is for example related with H. A. Simon and the later with W. Stegmüller. It is a decision theory which is compatible with a metaethical philosophy of social relations in the spirit of the critical rationalism.

Notes: Summary In this article will be discussed the famous Popperian terms of ‘empirical content’ and ‘falsifiability’ or ‘refutability’. They are all synonymous with another and are all fundamental principles, not for Popper's philosophy exclusively, but for Lakatos — and for Sneed's rational reconstruction of the ideas of Kuhn's book ‘The Structure of Scientific Revolutions’. The main intention of the present article is to analyse the terms mentioned above under the semiotical point of view. So we can, for example, understand ‘empirical content’ as syntactically or semantically or as pragmatically. Only the pragmatically understanding is the correct one, for which will be give reasons in detail.

Notes: 1,1-Diphenyl-2-azaallenium Ions as IntermediatesUnder elimination of trimethylamine and formation of 1,1-diphenyl-2-azaallenium ion intermediates 2d from [(diphenylmethylene)aminomethyl]trimethylammonium iodide (5) on heating with sodium methanolate the N-(diphenylmethylene)methoxymethylamine (6) is obtained. With sodium methanethiolate the N-(diphenylmethylene)methylthiomethylamine (7), with sodium cyanide the [(diphenylmethylene)amino]acetonitrile (8) are formed.

Description / Table of Contents: Infra-red spectroscopical examinations previously carried out on polyurethane foams have been extended to the temperature behaviour of the foams, to the relationship between the structure and the recipe as well as to the sequence of the reactions concerned. Free isocyanate groups are converted at elevated temperature via carbodiimides into the polymers thereof. The biuret groups in polyurethane foams are degraded by being split into urea groups and free isocyanate groups, the latter reacting in situ via carbodiimides. The variations in the structure substantially depend upon the nature of the polyhydroxyl compound; only when using polyester-polyhydroxyl compounds, alkaline additives effect trimerisation of the isocyanate group. It was demonstrated that in the production of foams first urethane groups, then urea groups and finally biuret groups are formed. The infra red detection limit for urea groups and urethane groups in polymers and in mixtures of low molecular weight comparison compounds was independently determined.
