Conclusions 1. Zeolites that contain the ions of a transition metal differ substantially in their adsorption capacity. The adsorption of carbon monoxide is at a maximum on the zeolites CoY and NiY. 2. The adsorption heat is independent of the degree of filling, which indicates that the adsorption centers of the zeolite have an energy homogeneity. 3. The heats of CO adsorption on zeolites, containing different cations, are approximately the same. An exception is calcium zeolite, for which the adsorption heat is lower.
