    Description / Table of Contents: Syntheses with α-Metalated Isocyanides, XLV1).  -  Reactions of α-Metalated Isocyanides with Some 1,3-DipolesReaction of α-metalated isocyanides 1a - c, f with alkylideneamine oxides (nitrones) 4 affords the 2-imidazolidinones 8. The 6-metalated 2,3-dihydro-4-H-1,2,5-oxadiazine of type 5 is postulated as decisive intermediate.  -  Benzonitrile oxide (17) reacts analogously with 1a and 1b to give 4-imidazolin-2-ones 18 and with 1e to give the 3-imidazolin-2-one 19.  -  Phenyl azide (20) reacts with two moles of 1b to give 5-(benzylideneamino)-4H,5H-1,2,3-triazoline 24. The reaction course is discussed.
    Notes: Die α-metallierten Isocyanide 1a - c, f reagieren mit den Alkylidenaminoxiden (Nitronen) 4 zu 2-Imidazolidinonen des Typs 8. Als entscheidende Zwischenstufe wird ein 6-metalliertes 2,3-Dihydro-4H-1,2,5-oxadiazin vom Typ 5 postuliert.  -  Benzonitriloxid (17) ergibt mit 1a und 1b analog die 4-Imidazolin-2-one 18, mit 1e das 3-Imidazolin-2-on 19.  -  Phenylazid (20) setzt sich mit zwei Äquivalenten 1b zum 5-Benzylidenamino-4H,5H-1,2,3-triazolin 24 um. Der Reaktions-verlauf wird diskutiert.

    Description / Table of Contents: Syntheses with α-Metalated Isocyanides, XXXVI.  -  Chain Lengthening of Primary Amines via α-Metalated IsocyanidesTreatment of the primary amines 1 with appropriate metalating agents (bases) yields the α-metalated isocyanides 5 via the isocyanides 4. Compounds 5 can be alkylated to form the „higher“ isocyanides 7, which on hydrolysis give the primary amines 8. The overall sequence constitutes a chain lengthening of primary amines with α-metalated isocyanides 5 as synthons for α-metalated primary amines.
    Notes: Aus den primären Aminen 1 erhält man über die Isocyanide 4 mit geeigneten Metallierungsmitteln (Basen) die α-metallierten Isocyanide 5. Diese sind zu den „höheren“ Isocyaniden 7 alkylierbar. Deren Hydrolyse liefert die Amine 8. Die ganze Sequenz stellt eine Kettenverlängerung primärer Amine dar, wobei α-metallierte Isocyanide 5 als Synthons für α-metallierte primäre Amine fungieren.

    Description / Table of Contents: Synthesis of (±)-2,2-Diethyl-3-methyl- and (±)-2,2-Diethyl-3,6-dimethyl-6-(phenoxyacetamido)-penam-3-carboxylic acidThe title compounds 4I and 4k were synthesized as the potassium salts 4I', 4k' starting from benzyl 4-methyl-2-thiazolinecarboxylate (3a).  -  The preparation of several benzyl 2-thiazoline-4-carboxylates (type 3) from thioketones 2 and 2-metalated benzyl 2-isocyanoalkanecarboxylates 1b, d is described.
    Notes: Die im Titel genannten Verbindungen 4I und 4k wurden (als Kaliumsalze 4I' bzw. 4k') ausgehend von 5,5-Diethyl-4-methyl-2-thiazolin-4-carbonsäure-benzylester (3a) dargestellt.  -  An mehreren Beispielen wird die Synthese von 2-Thiazolin-4-carbonsäure-benzylestern (Typ 3) aus Thioketonen 2 und 2-metallierten 2-Isocyanalkansäureestern 1b und d beschrieben.

    Description / Table of Contents: Syntheses with α-Metalated Isocyanides, XXXIII. - Chain Lengthening of Primary Amines via α-Metalated Isocyanides with Epoxides and Oxetane. New Synthesis of 3- and 4-Amino-alcohols, 5,6-Dihydro-4H-l,3-oxazines and 4,5,6,7-Tetrahydro-l,3-oxazepinesα-Lithiated isocyanides 5 react with epoxides to yield 3-hydroxyalkyl isocyanides 7, which on hydrolysis give 3-aminoalcohols, and on cyclization the oxazines 13. Reaction of 5b and d with oxetane yield 4-hydroxyalkyl isocyanides 11a and b, which can be hydrolyzed to 4-amino-alcohols or cyclized (albeit in poor yields) to the oxazepines 14.
    Notes: Die α-lithiierten Isocyanide 5 liefern mit Epoxiden 3-Hydroxyalkylisocyanide 7. Diese sind zu 3-Aminoalkoholen 9 hydrolysierbar oder zu den Oxazinen 13 cyclisierbar. Mit Oxetan reagieren 5b und d zu den 4-Hydroxyalkylisocyaniden 11a und b, die analog zu 4-Aminoalkoholen hydrolysierbar oder (wenngleich in schlechten Ausbeuten) zu Oxazepinen 14 cyclisierbar sind.
