    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Auf mit Silbernitratlösung imprägniertem Kieselgel G konnten dünn-schichtchromatographisch fünf Isomere aus technischem Hexachlorbenzol erfolgreich getrennt werden. Dasγ-Isomere wurde mit Hilfe einer Vergleichsprobe identifiziert. Die Planimetrie der Flecken eignet sich zur Schätzung von 5–20 μgγ-Hexachlorbenzol. Die Methode wurde zur Untersuchung von Autopsieproben angewendet. Die Nachweisgrenze beträgt 0,1μg.
    Notizen: Summary Five isomers present in technical benzene hexachloride were successfully separated by TLC on silica-gel G impregnated with silver nitrate solution. The γ-isomer was identified by running a control sample of γ-BHC. Measurement of the spot area was found suitable for the estimation of 5–20μg ofγ-BHC, and was applied to analysis of autopsy tissues. The limit of identification is 0.1μg.

    Notizen: Summary The excessive demand for alcoholic drinks has resulted in the preparation of fakes and created a problem for their identification. Dyestuffs have been added to alcoholic liquors and the separation of these dyestuff mixtures into their various components has been the subject of study by thin-layer electrophoretic techniques on silica gel-G plantes. 10 dyestuffs commonly used in liquors and beverages have been resolved into their components. The migration distances of the separated coloured zones in five electrolytes, either basic or acidic, have been recorded. The technique was found to be particularly suitable for distinguishing fake samples from genuine ones.

    Notizen: Abstract About one third petroleum production of every oil field is in the form of water in oil emulsions which are normally stabilized by the nickel and vanadium porphyrins from asphaltene portion of crude. The petroleum emulsions of Assam oil fields which have been taken for the present work, are stabilized by the organometallic compounds of iron and high molecular weight compounds from asphaltenes. There is least possibility of any change on these natural petroleum emulsions. The Assam oil field emulsions have been tried to be broken by polyoxyethylene alkyl phenols, their sulphonates and sodium sulphonates in different combinations. The nonyl and octyl phenols with 30 and 40 molecules of ethylene oxide are found most suitable demulsifiers for Lakwa, Rudrasagar and Galeki (Assam) oil fields emulsions. The effect of polyoxyethylene alkyl phenols followed by the treatment of polyvalent cations had been studied for the first time in the field of demulsification of natural petroleum emulsions. This new combination has shown the best results as this broke even the most stable petroleum emulsions which could not be broken by polyoxyethylene alkyl phenols alone. In the present paper a simple method for calculating the chemical demulsification efficiency and a factor H/S paralleled to HLB & H/L for evaluating the emulsification property of surface active agents, have been introduced.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Für ein lineares Optimierungsproblem, dessen Zielfunktion als Quotient zweier linearer Funktionen gegeben ist (LP-Problem mit gebrochener Zielfunktion), wird ein duales Problem formuliert und das Dualitätstheorem bewiesen. Es wird gezeigt, daß sowohl das primale als auch das duale Problem lineare Probleme mit gebrochener Zielfunktion sind und leicht mit den bekannten Standardtechniken gelöst werden können.
    Notizen: Summary The paper formulates a dual program for a given linear fractional functionals program (L.F.F.P.) and proves the duality theorem and its converse for the same. Special feature of the paper is that both the primal and the dual programs are L. F. F. Ps. and can easily be solved by the existing standard techniques.

    Notizen: Summary A paper electrophoretic technique has been described for the separation and detection of dyestuffs used in alcoholic beverages. The colour and migration distance of the separated coloured spots of 27 internationally recognised dyestuffs and 10 sample dyestuffs obtained from alcoholic beverages are recorded. The method has been found to be sensitive and quick as compared to TLC.
