Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary The operative correction of duodenal occlusion is often difficult. From 1972 to 1980 we operated on 69 children with duodenal occlusion in our hospital. There are two main problems: first, the general difficulties, especially if other malformations are present. We treat esophageal atresia, rectal malformation, and malrotation of the midgut simultaneously. Second, there are many local problems: multiple atresia of the duodenum, the wind sock web, anomalies of the choledochus duct, and difficulties with the primary duodenum. These problems are discussed.
