It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4 and has a distorted chair conformation.
    Notes: Der neuartige anorganische sechsgliedrige Heterocyclus [-(OC)4ReP (CH3)2O-]2 bildet sich durch Dimerisierung von zwei (OC)4ReP(CH3)2O-Einheiten. Er kristallisiert monoklin in der Raumgruppe P21/c mit Z = 4 und besitzt eine verzerrt sesselförmige Konformation.

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and Crystal Structure of (NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5]. The Crystal Chemistry of the Compounds (NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5], [Rh(NH3)5Cl]Cl2, and M2VXCl5 with M = K, NH4, Rb, Cs and X = Cl, O(NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5] crystallizes like [Rh(NH3)5Cl]Cl2 in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with Z = 4. The compounds are built up by isolated NH4+ or Cl- and complex MX5Y ions. The following distances have been observed: V—N: 213.8, V—Cl: 235.8-239.1, Rh—N: 207.1-208.5, Rh—Cl: 235.5 pm. Both structures differ from the K2PtCl6 type mainly in the ordering of the MX5Y polyhedra. The compounds M2VCl6 and M2VOCl5 with M = K, NH4, Rb, and Cs crystallize with exception of the orthorhombic K2VOCl5 in the K2PtCl6 type. The ordering of the MX5Y polyhedra in the compounds (NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5], [Rh(NH3)5Cl]Cl2 and K2VOCl5 enables a closer packing.
    Notes: (NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5] kristallisiert ebenso wie [Rh(NH3)5Cl]Cl2 orthorhombisch in der Raumgruppe Pnma mit Z = 4. Die Verbindungen sind aus isolierten NH4+- bzw. Cl--und komplexen MX5Y-Ionen aufgebaut, in denen folgende Abstände beobachtet werden. V—N: 213,8, V—Cl: 235,8-239,1, Rh—N: 207,1-208,5 207,1-208,5 Rh—Cl: 235,5 pm. Beide Strukturen unterscheiden sich vom K2PtCl6-Typ im wesentlichen nur durch den geordneten Einbau der MX5Y-Polyeder. Die Verbindungen M2Vcl6 und M2VOCl5 mit M = K, NH4, Rb und Cs kristallisieren mit Ausnahme des orthorhombischen K2VOCl5 im K2PtCl6-Typ. Der geordnete Einbau der MX5Y- Ionen im (NH4)2[V(NH3)Cl5], [Rh(NH3)5Cl]Cl2 und K2VOCl5 ermöglicht eine dichtere Packung.

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation of the Oxide Nitrides VON, NbON, and TaON. The Crystal Structure of NbON and TaONCrystals of VON and NbON are formed by the thermal decomposition of the metal oxide amides, which can be synthesized from metal oxide trichloride and liquid ammonia. Single crystals of TaON are obtained by the reaction of TaOCl3 with NH4Cl in a quartz ampul at temperatures between 900 and 1000·C. NbON and TaON are isostructural with the Baddeleyite ZrO2. They crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4.The existence of the nitride chloride Ta2N3Cl, whose hydrolysis should lead to TaON, and of NbNCl2 and TaNCl2 could not be confirmed.The unit cell dimensions of the compounds NH4MCl6 (M = Nb, Ta), (NH4)2NbCl6 and (NH4)2NbOCl5 have been determined.
    Notes: Kristalle von VON und NbON entstehen durch thermische Zersetzung der Metalloxidamide, die aus Metalloxidtrichlorid und flüssigem Ammoniak erhalten werden. TaON-Einkristalle bilden sich aus TaOCl3 und NH4Cl bei 900-1000°C in Quarzampullen. NbON und TaON sind isotyp mit dem Baddeleyit ZrO2. Sie kristallisieren monoklin in der Raumgruppe P21/c mit Z = 4.Die Existenz des Nitridchlorids Ta2N3Cl, dessen Hydrolyse zu TaON führen soll, sowie von NbNCl2 und TaNCl2 konnte nicht bestätigt werden.Die Kristalldaten der Verbindungen NH4MCl6 (M = Nb, Ta), (NH4)2NbCl6 und (NH4)2NbOCl5 wurden bestimmt.

Preparation, Properties, and Crystal Structure of Ammine(tetracarbonyl)-(dimethylthiophosphinito)rheniumStarting from the P isomer (OC)4BrReP(CH3)2SH, (OC)4NH3ReP(CH3)2S is obtained via the heterocycle [—(OC)4ReP(CH3)2S—]2 by cleaving the Re—S-bond with ammonia. The 1H and 31P{1H} n.m.r. spectra and some i.r. and Raman data were discussed. The compound crystallizes monoclinic in the space group P21/c with Z = 4.
    Notes: (OC)4NH3ReP(CH3)2Serhält man aus dem P-Isomeren (OC)4BrReP(CH3)2SH über den Heterocyclus [—(OC)4ReP(CH3)2S—]2 durch Spaltung der Re=S-Bindung mit Ammoniak. Die 1H- und 31P-{1H}-NMR-Spektren sowie einige IR- und Raman-Daten werden diskutiert. Die Verbindung kristallisiert monoklin in der Raumgruppe P21/c mit Z = 4.
