    Description / Table of Contents: Crystal and Molecular Structure of N-(Phenoxycarbonyl)azepineN-(Phenoxycarbonyl)azepine (1d) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21 with a unit cell of the dimensions a = 8.64 Å, b = 6.15 Å, c = 10.64 Å, β = 97.61°; Z = 2. The structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction using direct methods and has been refined by LSQ-calculations. The azepine-ring exists in a boat conformation with localized double bonds.
    Notes: N-Phenoxycarbonyl-azepin (1d) kristallisiert in der monoklinen Raumgruppe P21 mit den Gitterkonstanten a = 8.64 Å, b = 6.15 Å, c = 10.64 Å, β = 97.61°; Z = 2. Die Struktur der Verbindung wurde röntgenographisch mittels direkter Methoden bestimmt und durch LSQ-Rechnungen verfeinert. Der Azepinring besitzt ausgeprägte Bootform mit lokalisierten Doppelbindungen.

    Description / Table of Contents: The Crystal and Molecular Structure of Diethyl 2,4-Bis(diethylamino)-1,3-cyclobutadienedicarboxylateIt is shown by X-ray diffraction methods that the unit cell of the title compound contains two pairs of symmetry independent but centrosymmetric molecules with identical data within the limits of erros. Accordingly the four-membered ring has the form of a distorted square with bond lenghts of 1.46 Å and angles of 87 93°. The centres of the four-membered ring linked to the ethoxycarbonyl groups show bending angles of 23°
    Notes: Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse der Titelverbindung zeigt, daß in der Elementarzelle zwei Paare symmetrieunabhängiger aber zentrosymmetrischer Moleküle liegen, deren Daten im Rahmen der Fehlergrenzen übereinstimmen. Danach hat der viergliedrige Ring die Form eines deformierten Quadrates mit Bindungslängen von 1.46 Å und Winkeln von 87 bzw. 93°. Die an die Estergruppe gebundenen Zentren des viergliedrigen Rings weisen Knickwinkel von 23° auf.

    Description / Table of Contents: The Structure of the Anion [CBr5]⊖ in Crystalline Tetraphenylphosphonium PentabromocarbonateThe structure of tetraphenylphosphonium pentabromocarbonate [(C6H5)4]⊕ [CBr5]⊖ has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic needless with lattice constants a = 20.19, b = 15.36, c = 8.63 Å, β = 93.20°, Z = 4, space group P21/a. The structure determination was carried out by direct methods and Fourier syntheses. The crystal contains anion bands and tetraphynylphosphonium cations. The anion bands consist of CRr4-tetrahedrons and bromide ions co-ordinated to he apices of the tetrahedrons.
    Notes: Die Struktur des Tetraphenylphosphonium-pentabromocarbonats [(C6H5)4P]⊕ [CBr5]⊖ wurde durch Röntgenbeugung am Einkristall aufgeklärt. Die Verbindung kristallisiert in monoklinen Nadeln mit den Gitterkonstanten a = 20.19, b = 15.36, c = 8.63 Å, β = 93.20, Z = 4, Raumgruppe P21/a. Die Strukturaufklärung erfolgte durch direkte Methoden und Fourier-Synthesen. Der Kristall ist aus polymeren Anionenbändern und Tetraphenylphosphonium-Kationen aufgebaut. Die Anionenbänder sind aus CBr4-Tetraedern und über Tetraederspitzen koordinierten Bromid-Ionen zusammengesetzt.
