Crystal and Molecular Structure of N-(Phenoxycarbonyl)azepineN-(Phenoxycarbonyl)azepine (1d) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21 with a unit cell of the dimensions a = 8.64 Å, b = 6.15 Å, c = 10.64 Å, β = 97.61°; Z = 2. The structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction using direct methods and has been refined by LSQ-calculations. The azepine-ring exists in a boat conformation with localized double bonds.

N-Phenoxycarbonyl-azepin (1d) kristallisiert in der monoklinen Raumgruppe P21 mit den Gitterkonstanten a = 8.64 Å, b = 6.15 Å, c = 10.64 Å, β = 97.61°; Z = 2. Die Struktur der Verbindung wurde röntgenographisch mittels direkter Methoden bestimmt und durch LSQ-Rechnungen verfeinert. Der Azepinring besitzt ausgeprägte Bootform mit lokalisierten Doppelbindungen.
