Conclusions 1. The σ-allyl complex Cp (CO)2FeCH2C(Fc)=C (CN)2 reacts with iodine to give products resulting from cleavage to the Fe-C σ-bond by iodine, and also an addition product of iodine to the double bond of the allyl ligand, but is stable with respect to hydrogen chloride, sulfur trioxide, and tetracyanoethylene. 2. The C-Fe σ-bond in Cp(CO)2FeCH2C (Fc)=C(CN)2 is easily cleaved by nucleophilic reagents (LiAlH4 and LiC5H4Mn(CO)3). 3. Reaction of (CN)2C=C(Fc)CH2I with Cp(CO)2FeNa gave (CN)2C=C(Fc)CH3 and CP(CO)2FeI,
