    Description / Table of Contents: Rearrangements of Vinylogous Acyl Chlorides, XIV1). - 2H-Pyran Valence Isomerization of cis-trans-2,3,4,5-Tetrachloro-2,4-pentadienal and 1,3-Rearrangement to 4H-PyranStarting from the acid chloride 4c the stereoisomeric pentadienals 1b and 6 were obtained. The 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone of the trans-aldehyde 6 is stable, while that of the cis-aldehyde 1b very easily undergoes cyclization to the 4-pyridone 8. In contrast to 6 the aldehyde 1b is thermally unstable and extremely sensible to moisture. Valence isomerization occurs at room temperature, but the 2H-pyran 2b, whose presence is indicated by 1H-NMR, is rapidly transformed into the 4H-pyran 10. The 4H-pyran 10 may be converted into the pyrylium salts 11 by Lewis acids. Hydrolysis of 1b, 10 and 11 gives the 4-pyrone 12.
    Notes: Ausgehend von dem Säurechlorid 4c werden die stereoisomeren Pentadienale 1b und 6 dargestellt. Der trans-Aldehyd 6 liefert ein stabiles 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazon, während das des cis-Aldehyds 1b sehr leicht zum 4-Pyridon 8 cyclisiert. Der cis-Aldehyd 1b ist im Gegensatz zu 6 thermisch instabil und äußerst feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Die Valenzisomerisierung zum 2H-Pyran 2b läuft schon bei Raumtemperatur quantitativ ab. Das 2H-Pyran 2b, das 1H-NMR-spektroskopisch nachweisbar ist, lagert sich rasch weiter in das 4H-Pyran 10 um. Durch Lewis-Säuren läßt sich 10 in die Pyryliumsalze 11 überführen. Die Hydrolyse von 1b, 10 und 11 führt zum 4-Pyron 12.
