    Notizen: A convenient method for the description of orientation data for cubic, hexagonal, tetragonal and orthorhombic crystals is given. The method can also be used for the representation of disorientation data, where disorientations between any two crystals of the specified symmetry lattices are considered. It is based on the quaternion formalism introduced into the discussion of orientations and disorientations by Grimmer [Acta Cryst. (1974), A30, 685–688], Frank [(1987). Proc. Int. Conf. on Texture of Materials 8 (INCOTOM 8), Santa Fé, USA, pp. 3–13] and others. Since orientations and disorientations can be interpreted as rotations which in turn can be represented by only three parameters a vector description is used. These vectors span a rotation space corresponding to the usual space of Eulerian angles. It is called Rodrigues vector space [Rodrigues (1840). J. Math. Pure Appl. 5, 380–440; Becker & Panchanadeeswaran (1989). Text. Microstruct. 10, 167]. The direction of a Rodrigues vector is parallel to the rotation axis and its length is tan (θ/2), where θ describes the rotation angle. A method for selecting a unique representative out of the numerous symmetrically equivalent Rodrigues vectors is given. Since these selection rules depend on the symmetry of the crystal lattices considered they yield compact domains in the Rodrigues vector space which are typical for each type of lattice or lattice pair. These domains are always bounded by planes. Frank (1987) called them fundamental zones and described them for the orientations of cubic, hexagonal and orthorhombic crystals.

    Notizen: Zusammenfassung Bei einem 19jährigen Mann, der seit dem 14. Lebensjahr über heftige Kopfschmerzattacken klagte, ergab die klinische Untersuchung Hinweise auf einen Hydrocephalus internus. Unter der Verdachtsdiagnose Tumor bzw. Pseudotumor cerebri wurde der Versuch einer Luftencephalographie unternommen, der jedoch nach Einführen von 13 cm3 Luft und Ablassen von 8 cm3 Liquor abgebrochen wurde, da die Luft nicht in das Ventrikelsystem gelangte. 2 Tage später verstarb der Patient. Die pathologischanatomische Untersuchung zeigt eine ausgedehnte Ependymitis granularis mit Einengung des Aquaedukts und der Foramina interventricularia, die zu chronischem Hydrocephalus internus und ante finem infolge Verlegung des rechten Foramen Monroi zusätzlich zu hochgradigem rechtsseitigem Occlusionshydrocephalus geführt hatte. Retrospektiv wird versucht, die typischen Charakteristika des Krankheitsverlaufs herauszuarbeiten. Dabei ergeben sich auffällige Ähnlichkeiten mit zwei von Spiller (1902) mitgeteilten Fällen. Die meist sehr schwierige klinisch-diagnostische Beurteilung kann durch Beachtung der angeführten Kriterien erleichtert werden. Bei Verdacht auf Ependymgranulationen im Bereich des Aquaedukts und der Foramina Monroi ist besondere Vorsicht bei diagnostischen Eingriffen geboten.

    Notizen: Summary Twenty-nine patients with advanced Parkinson's disease were treated with subcutaneous lisuride infusion in addition to a basic therapy consisting of levodopa + PDI in all, and deprenyl in some patients. At the time of the report, 13 patients are still receiving lisuride infusion after 5–36 months, while 16 have dropped out after 0.5–30 months one because of psychosis, three because of insufficient efficacy, three due to death unrelated to treatment, three because of difficulties in handling the pump as outpatients, and six for other reasons. “Off”-periods and parkinsonian disability in “off” and in “on” were reduced significantly. These improvements remained constant throughout the observation period. Once the optimal dose regimen is established, only minor adjustments of the doses of lisuride and levodopa are required in the individual case.

    Notizen: Summary Four patients with sporadic olivopontocerebellar atrophy (OPCA) and severe signs of Parkinsonism received continuous subcutaneous lisuride infusion via a small external pump. All 4 patients benefitted from this treatment: 3 showed an overall improvement in motor performance, in 1 patient mainly dysphagia and dysarthria improved. Therapeutic benefit lasted for at least 6 months of follow up. With a daily dose of 1.0 mg of subcutaneous lisuride, treatment limitations were reached in the form of dysphagia, probably due to oropharyngeal dystonia. Subcutaneous lisuride infusion should be taken into consideration in OPCA patients with signs of Parkinsonism if oral dopaminergic treatment has failed earlier on.

    Notizen: Abstract Using high-sensitive deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS), we have determined ion-related defects in monocrystalline silicon in the asimplanted state. In comparison with secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) data and neutron depth profiling (NDP) results it is demonstrated that the defect profiles and the chemical distributions have nearly identical shape. From these experimental facts it can be concluded that this electrical spectroscopy can be applied for the detection of very low concentrations (down to 1010 cm−3) of implanted ion species.

    Notizen: Imidazolide aromatischer Sulfonsäuren lassen sich mit nahezu quantitativen Ausbeuten aus freien Sulfonsäuren und N.N′-Carbonyl-di-imidazol oder aus Sulfonsäurechloriden und Imidazol erhalten. Die Aminolyse der Imidazolide führt in glatter Reaktion zu Sulfonamiden. Bei der Alkoholyse der Imidazolide wurde eine Reaktionsbeschleunigung durch katalytische Mengen Alkoholat oder Imidazo-natrium beobachtet, in deren Gegenwart die Umsetzung zu Sulfonsäureestern schon bei Raumtemperatur in wenigen Minuten beendet ist. - Äther vom Typ des Dibenzyl- und Dicinnamyläthers werden in guten Ausbeuten erhalten, indem man bei Raumtemperatur p-Toluolsulfonsäure-imidazolid im Mol.-Verhältnis 1:2 auf das betreffende Alkoholat einwirken läßt. - Die Umsetzung von Alkoholaten mit Sulfonsäure-imidazoliden läßt sich unter geeigneten Bedingungen auch zur N-Alkylierung des Imidazols verwenden.

    Notizen: Salze von Imidazolyl-(1)-phosphonaten (II) sind Phosphorylierungsmittel, ihre Reaktivität ist in starkem Maße abhängig von der Protonenkonzentration. Sie bilden mit Aminen Phosphorsäureester-amide, mit Alkoholen Phosphorsäurediester und mit Phosphorsäureestern asymm. Pyrophosphate. Die drei Reaktionsarten ließen sich auch mit dem Imidazolid der Adenosin-5′-phosphorsäure durchführen. Diimidazolyl-(1)-phosphinat (III) reagiert als bifunktionelles Reagenz beidseitig entsprechend zu Diamiden oder Diestern der Phosphorsäure bzw. zu P1.P3-Diestern (VII) der Triphosphorsäure. Die pH-Abhängigkeit der Hydrolyse von II und III wurde untersucht.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Structure of Triarylmethyl DimersStructure 3 is confirmed for the dimer of triphenylmethyl (1) by 13C. n.m.r. spectra of [α-13C]triphenylmethyl dimer, the synthesis of which is described. The interpretation given for the proton resonance of 1-dimer2 is also supported by the 1H. n.m.r. spectrum of tris-(4-deuterophenyl)methyl dimer. However, for 9-phenylfluorenyl dimer the hexaarylethane structure 4 is proposed on the basis of the 1H. n.m.r. spectrum.
    Notizen: 13C-NMR-Spektren des [α-13C]Triphenylmethyl-Dimeren, dessen Synthese beschrieben wird, beweisen die Struktur 3 für das dimere Triphenylmethyl (1). Das 1H-NMR-Spektrum des Tris-[4-deutero-phenyl]-methyl-Dimeren bestätigt ebenfalls die Interpretation der Protonenresonanz des 1-Dimeren2 im Sinne der Formel 3. Für das 9-Phenyl-fluorenyl-Dimere wird dagegen auf Grund des 1H-NMR-Spektrums die Struktur eines echten Hexaaryläthans 4 vorgeschlagen.

    Notizen: Über die Synthese der Titel-Verbindungen 2, 6 und 5 wird berichtet. Bei 2 und 6 ist die Resonanz des inneren olefinischen Protons durch den Anisotropie-Effekt der beiden Drei-fachbindungen bis τ -0.1 bzw. τ -0.5 verschoben. Die Relevanz dieses Befundes für die Annahme eines induzierten paramagnetischen Ringstroms in dem geometrisch analogen monocyclischen Dehydro [12]annulen 4 wird diskutiert.
