    Notes: Der Farbstoff aus Guanidinoessigsäure hat nicht die in der Literatur angegebene Bruttoformel und Struktur; er entspricht vielmehr den früher untersuchten Derivaten aus monoalkylsubstituierten Guanidinen. Bei der Umsetzung mit L- Arginin entsteht ein Gemisch, aus dem die beiden Hauptkomponenten isoliert wurden; eine von ihnen ist unter oxydativem Abbau des Arginins gebildet worden. Alle Stoffe sind im Gegensatz zu den Angaben anderer Autoren Hydroxy -naphthochinonimin-Derivate. - Weiterhin wurden substituierte Naphthole und Naphthochinone anstelle des α-Naphthols eingesetzt und aus ihrem Verhalten Schlüsse auf den Reaktionsverlauf gezogen.

    Notes: Erstmalig synthetisierten wir Guanidino-chinone (2), N-Guanyl-chinon-imine (7) und als cyclische Vertreter 2-Imino-2.6-dihydro-benzimidazolone-(6) (8). Die besonderen Eigenschaften dieser Stoffe resultieren aus der Elektronen-Akzeptor-Wirkung der Chinon-Systeme, die je nach der Struktur die Basizität der Guanidingruppen fast vollständig aufheben kann.

    Description / Table of Contents: The Structure of SphaerophysineSphaerophysine-formerly described as 1 or 2- is shown by n.m.r. and mass spectrometry to have structure 3 (N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-guanidine). Dihydro-3 (7) has been synthesised.
    Notes: Sphaerophysin wurde bisher als 1-Isopentenylamino-4-guanidino-butan 1 oder 2 angesehen. Wir zeigen anhand von NMR- und Massenspektren sowie durch Synthese der Dihydro-verbindung, daß es die Struktur 3 eines N[4-Amino-butyl]-N-[3-methyl-buten-(2)-yl]-guanidins hat.

    Description / Table of Contents: Intramolecularity of Semidine FormationRearrangement of a mixture of the two isotopomeric 4-methoxyhydrazobenzenes 1 and 2 by one proton-catalysis gives both o- und p-semidines by intramolecular pathways. The consequences to the complex „benzidine rearrangement“ are discussed.
    Notes: Der Kreuzversuch zwischen den isotopomeren 4-Methoxy-hydrazobenzolen 1 und 2 zeigt, daß bei deren Umlagerung unter Ein-Protonen-Katalyse sowohl das o-wie das p-Semidin ausschließlich intramolekular gebildet werden. Die Bedeutung für die Theorie des Komplexes „Benzidin-Umlagerung“ wird diskutiert.

    Description / Table of Contents: Derivatives of Guanidines Containing Phosphorus and SulfurN-Chloroguanidines 1 react with tervalent phosphorous compounds or with sulfides to yield N-guanylphosphine imidium (3) or sulfimidium salts (9). Dehydrohalogenation gives the respective N-guanyl phosphine imides and sulfimides. The structure and reactions of these compounds are discussed.
    Notes: Die Umsetzung von N-Chlorguanidinen 1 mit tervalenten Phosphorverbindungen sowie Sulfiden führt zu N-Guanylphosphinimidium- (3) bzw. -sulfimidium-Salzen (9). Durch Dehydrohalogenierung werden die entsprechenden Phosphinimide und Sulfimide erhalten. Die Eigenschaften dieser Verbindungen - insbesondere die Struktur-und Bindungsverhältnisse-sowie ihre Reaktionen werden untersucht.

The mechanism is investigated with the aid of deuteriated materials.

    Description / Table of Contents: Hydride Shifts in the Friedel-Crafts Reaction of Allyl Alcohol with BenzeneIn the presence of AlCl3 allyl alcohol reacts with benzene to give propylbenzene (3) and 1,1-diphenyl-1-propene (4) in a redox reaction, if mild conditions prevail. Experiments with D- and 13C-indicated compounds prove 2-phenyl-1-propanol (2) to be the first, a phenyl-assisted propyl cation (9) to be the second intermediate in this reaction. By intermolecular hydride shift and by methyl migration the final products 3 and 4 are formed.
    Notes: Aus Allylalkohol und Benzol entstehen in Gegenwart von AlCl3 unter milden Bedingungen Propylbenzol (3) und 1,1-Diphenyl-1-propen (4) als Redoxpartner. Versuche mit D- und 13C-indizierten Ausgangsverbindungen zeigten, daß primär gebildetes 2-Phenyl-1-propanol (2) über ein phenylstabilisiertes Propyl-Kation (9) weiterreagiert: unter intermolekularer Hydridverschiebung und unter Methylgruppen-Wanderung entstehen daraus die Endprodukte 3 und 4.

    Description / Table of Contents: On the Mechanism of the Hydrogen Transfer in the Thermal Disproportionation of HydrazobenzeneThe disproportionation was shown to be of first order in hydrazobenzene with a small hydrogen isotope effect (kH/kD ca. 1.1). This excludes an electrocyclic mechanism and favours the rupture of the N—N bond as the first step of this reaction.
    Notes: Wie das Zeitgesetz (1. Ordnung an Hydrazobenzol) und der niedrige Isotopeneffekt (kH/kD ca. 1.1) zeigen, ist eine synchrone Wasserstoffübertragung zwischen zwei Molekülen Hydrazobenzol ausgeschlossen.  -  Als Mechanismus wird eine primäre N—N-Spaltung in einem Molekül Hydrazobenzol angenommen.
