Synthesis, X-ray Structure, Basicity, and Dynamic Stereo-chemistry of a Donor-Substituted [2.2] (2,6)PyridinophaneTreatment of 4b with pheyllithium afforded the donor-substituted 7,15-dimethoxy[2.2](2,6)pyridonophane (2) by intermolecular cyclization. 2 is compared with the unsubstituted compound 1 by X-ray crystallography, determination of basicity, and 1H-NMR studies. The results indicate an attractive interaction between the pyridine nitrogen of 2 and a H atom of a second molecule of 2.

Das durch Methoxygruppen Donor-verstärkte 7,15-Dimethoxy-[2.2](2,6)pyridinophan (2) wurde durch intermolekulare Cyclisierung von 4b mit Phenyllithium erhalten. Ein Vergleich mit dem unsubstituierten Grundgerüst 1 wird über die Röntgenkristallstrukturanalyse, Basizitätsmessungen sowie 1H-NMR-Studien vorgenommen. Die Ergebnisse deuten auf eine anziehende Wechselwirkung zwischen dem Pyridin-Stickstoff von 2 und einem H-Atom der Methoxygruppe eines zweiten Moleküls 2 hin.
