    Notizen: Summary In 1982, Dibbell described a procedure to correct this distortion by rotating and advancing the nostril medially and superiorly. We used this method in our department for several years, but as Dibbell himself experienced, we didn't always obtain satisfactory results. Like many authors, I agree that the best approach for proper correction of the secondary unilateral cleft lip nose deformity is the external approach using transcolumellar incisions, because the lower lateral cartilage exposure is inadequate with Dibbell's method. I added the transcolumellar incision similar to Bardach's to solve this problem. In this paper, this combination technique will be presented and contrasted with Dibbell's and Bardach's techniques.

    Notizen: Summary Pedicled temporoparietal fascial flaps have been used extensively in head and neck reconstruction for many years. Also, the fascia has been grafted, and the skin graft transformed into a vascularized pedicled flap (prefabricated temporoparietal fasciocutaneous flap). On the other hand, some authors have used free temporoparietal fascial flaps for defects that require to be filled in lower and upper extremity wounds. In this case, a free prefabricated temporoparietal fascio-chondro-cutaneous flap having only an arterial inflow was used in eyelid reconstruction.

    Notizen: Abstract Skin flaps are normally characterized by arterial inflow and venous outflow. However, there are several reports about experimental and clinical applications of venous and arterialized venous flaps. On the other hand, some studies evaluated the importance of different pedicle types in prefabricated flaps. It was discovered by chance that a prefabricated free flap, having arterial-only inflow, could be used successfully in eyelid reconstruction. An experimental study on arterial flaps in rabbits showed that an arterial-only inflow was adequate for flap viability until the establishment of venous neovascularization.

    Notizen: Abstract Electrothrombosis is one of the methods of vascular occlusion that can be summarized as the formation of intravascular thrombosis by application of direct current to intravascularly placed electrodes. There are no studies utilizing electrothrombosis for the treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations, so we conducted a study consisting of an in vitro test, animal experiments and clinical applications. The formation of a thrombus was observed in the test tubes in which direct current was applied to the electrodes in the in vitro test. In the animal experiment group occlusion of femoral arteries in the rabbit model was achieved by electrothrombosis. Clinical applications were done in six patients with hemangiomas and six patients with vascular malformations. Success rates were 75% in hemangiomas and 58.3% in vascular malformations.

    Notizen: Abstract  A new chrondrocutaneous flap raised from the posterior area was used to reconstruct composite marginal ear defects of two patients. In this technique, a posterior rectangular advancement flap with a cartilage strip was advanced into the defectly horizontal. Two weeks later, the pedicle was divided and the flap was tailored. The donor area was covered with a skin graft. This flap provides both ideal skin cover and support for the cartilaginous framework. It can be transferred without delay and can be used in immediate or secondary reconstructions. It is recommended as an alternative method for the reconstruction of the middle third marginal auricular defects.
