Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary For the determination of trace elements in limited amounts of biological materials (max. 300 mg) the substance is decomposed with pure oxygen in a combustion tube fitted with a cooling trap (liquid air) and a refluxing condenser. The combustion products are frozen by liquid air and then dissolved in a minimum amount of solvent. The optimum proportion between the tube surface and the concentration of the trace elements gives good yields for e.g. Hg, Cu, As, Sb, Mo, Se, Cd, Zn, Co, Ba and I (in amounts〈1μg) with minimum deviations of blanks.
