Summary Model experiments with feeding tadpoles with carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic aminonitrocompounds revealed differences in the intensity of the ultraviolet and blue fluorescence of liver cells and in their fine morphology at early periods (15 min, 30 min, 1 h and 3 h) of contact with the tested substance. The authors suppose that these differences are due to the specific effect of a carcinogenic compound on mitochondria and cellular respiration.
