Zusammenfassung Die Ergebnisse der Chirurgie des Bronchuscarcinoms können nur durch weitere Forcierung der Frühdiagnose, durch onkologiebezogene Operationsmethoden unter Anwendung von Techniken, die eine Einbeziehung eines größeren Krankengutes in die Operabilität ermöglichen, sowie durch adäquate und allgemeine Zusatztherapie verbessert werden. An Hand unseres Krankengutes von 8 423 Patienten, von denen 2 773 oder 32 % operabel waren, werden die Ergebnisse der Operation in bezug auf Operationsart, Histologie, Feinsteinklassifikation, TNM-Stadien etc. demonstriert. Die Ergebnisse adjuvanter Chemotherapiestudien werden hier kritisch analysiert und neue Wege der Zusatztherapie vorgeschlagen.

Summary The results of surgery for bronchial carcinoma can be improved by further stressing of early diagnosis, by operative methods adapted to oncological needs and assessment of techniques which increase operability as well as by adequate and general additional therapy. Based on our material of 8,423 patients of which 2,773 (i.e. 23 %) have been operated the results of the operation in relation to type of operation, histology, Feinstein's classification, TNM stages and other are demonstrated.
