Notes:
The method described allows the determination of dissolved oxygen in water-inmiscible organic liquids under normal pressure in a temperature range of 0°C to 80°C depending on the boiling point of the organic material. The method can be adapted to modified conditions. The method using the principles of O2-measurement by means of CLARK'S electrode offers an accuracy of 2-6%. The exact knowledge of dissolved molecular oxygen in organic liquids can be of interest for chemical or biotechnological processes.
