Pyrazolo[4.3-e]as-triazine, a New Heterocyclic System from Pseudomonas Fluorescens Var. PseudoiodinumPseudoiodinine (1), the red pigment isolated from Pseudomonas fluorescens var. pseudoiodinum, loses easily one methyl group under formation of the yellow pigment normethylpseudoiodinine, which was identified by single crystal X-ray diffraction as 3-methoxy-1H-pyrazolo[4.3-e]as-triazine (2). Methylation of the yellow pigment with diazomethane leads to pseudoiodinine, probably by methylation at N-2.

Pseudoiodinin (1), das rote Pigment aus Pseudomonas fluorescens var. pseudoiodinum, spaltet sehr leicht eine Methylgruppe ab und geht in das gelbe Pigment Normethylpseudoiodinin über, das durch Röntgenstrukturanalyse als 3-Methoxy-1 H-pyrazolo[4.3-e]as-triazin (2) identifiziert wurde. Mit Diazomethan kann aus dem gelben Pigment Pseudoiodinin zurückgebildet werden. Dabei erfolgt die Methylierung wahrscheinlich am N-2.
