    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and Reactions of Trimethoxyacetamide and Trimethoxyacetamide DerivativesTrimethoxyacetamide (2a) can be prepared from either trimethoxyacetonitrile (3) or from methyl trimethoxyacetate (1a). Similarly triethoxyacetamide can be obtained from Ib and ammonia. The synthesis of pure 1a is described. Hydrazine hydrate reacts with 1a to form trimethoxyacetohydrazide (6). The compounds 2a and 6 are formylated by tert-butoxy-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylmethanediamine (“aminal ester”) at the NH2 group to furnish the formamidine 8 and the formamidrazone 9, respectively. 8 has also been prepared by reaction of N,N-dimethylformamide dimethylacetal with 2a. Reaction of 8 with phenylhydrazine affords the tetrazine 11. CH-acidic compounds such as malonodinitrile and ethyl cyanoacetate are formylated by 8 at the CH2 groups to yield the enamines 12a, b.
    Notes: Trimethoxyacetamid (2a) läßt sich sowohl aus Trimethoxyacetonitril (3) als auch aus Trimethoxy-essigsäure-methylester (1a) darstellen. Entsprechend erhält man Triethoxyacetamid (2b) aus 1b und Ammoniak. Die Synthese von reinem 1a wird beschrieben. Aus 1a und Hydrazin-hydrat entsteht Trimethoxyacethydrazid (6). Die Verbindungen 2a und 6 lassen sich mit tert-Butoxy-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylmethandiamin (“Aminalester”) an der NH2-Gruppe formylieren, wobei das Formamidin 8 bzw. das Formamidrazon 9 gebildet werden. 8 kann man auch aus 2a und N,N-Dimethylformamid-acetal darstellen. Aus 8 und Phenylhydrazin entsteht das Tetrazin 11. CH-acide Verbindungen wie Malonodinitril und Cyanessigsäure-ethylester werden durch 8 an der CH2-Gruppe formyliert unter Bildung der Enamine 12a, b.
