Zusammenfassung Bei 10 gesunden Probanden wurden die durch eine Tyramininjektion (Gesamtdosis 10 bzw. 15 mg) ausgelosten Veränderungen des systolischen und diastolischen arteriellen Druckes vor und nach einer über 5 Tage hin erfolgenden Applikation von Prenylamin 180 mg/die (Segontin®) gemessen. Zusätzlich wurde der Druck in der Arteria pulmonalis bzw. im rechten Ventrikel sowie das EKG registriert, bei 5 Personen wurde das Herzminutenvolumen mit der Indikatorverdünnungsmethode bestimmt. — Die Segontin® Behandlung führt zu emer signifikanten Abschwächung der cardiovaskulä-ren Wirkungen des Tyramins, da der arterielle Blutdruckanstieg deutlich verringert wind. Dagegen war der Einfluß auf die durch Tyramin induzierte Frequenzsenkung wesentlieh geringer, wenn auch zuvor durch Tyramin ausgeloste Vorhofersatzrhythmen nicht mehr auftraten.

Summary In 10 healthy persons the changes in systolic and diastolic arterial pressure which occur after the intravenous injection of tyramine (10 mg respectively 15 mg total dosage) were studied before and after the application of prenylamine (Segontin®) in a daily dosage of 180 mg for five days. In addition the pressure in the pulmonary artery and in the right ventricle was recorded as well as the ECG. In 5 persons cardiac output was determined by the indicator dilution method. — The treatment with Segontin® leads to a significant weakening of the cardiovascular effects of tyramine because the increase in arterial blood pressure is diminished. The influence, however, on the rate-depressing effect of tyramine is much less pronounced even though some of the atrial arrhythmias were abolished.
