Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Bei Patienten mit Parathyreoidektomie nach erfolgreicher Nierentransplantation wurden klinischer Verlauf and Laborwerte analysiert and hinsichtlich der Immunsuppression miteinander verglichen (Azathioprinn=6/Cyclosporin An=9). Die Cyclosporin-Gruppe zeigte ausgepräg-te Hypercalcaemie, Hypophosphataemie, Anstieg von alkalischer Phosphatase and Parathormon and erhöhte Cyclosporin-Blutspiegel. Eine Interaktion zwischen Cyclosporin A and Parathormon wird vermutet, die die Rückbildung des sekundären Hyperparathyreoidismus hemmt and so eine hochaktive renale Osteopathie unterhält.
Notes: Summary Clinical course and laboratory tests were analyzed in patients with parathyroidectomy after successful renal transplantation and compared with respect to type of immunosuppression [azathioprine (n=6) versus cyclosporin A (n=9)j. The cyclosporin group showed marked hypercalcemia, hypophosphatemia, increase of alkaline phosphatase and parathormone, and elevated cyclosporin blood levels. We suspect that there is an interaction between cyclosporin A and parathormone that inhibits the regression of secondary hyperparathyroidism, thus leading to highly active renal osteopathy.
