Notes:
The space-charge neutralization lens (S-C neutralization lens) is investigated from the theoretical point of view. The working parameters and the focal length formulas of the lens are given. According to this article, a S-C neutralization lens has been designed and used as a focusing and transmission unit in the intense beam facility at the Institute of Nuclear Research of Lanzhou University. The experiments show that it has an excellent operating characteristic for focusing intense beams and adjusting optical-path matching.
