    Notes: Abstract γγ-directional correlations have been measured between the ground state band transitions 6→4, 4→2 and 2→0 and the γ-rays depopulating the levels of the gamma vibrational band and the negative parity states of166Er. Thereby angular momenta could be assigned to the latter states andM2/E1 multipole mixtures determined for the depopulating γ-transitions. TheE2/M1 mixing ratios were obtained for a series ofI γ→I g transitions up toI γ=8+. These are used to investigate the angular momentum dependence of theE2/M1 admixtures.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary The results of autoradiographic determination of DNA-synthesizing lymphocytes (3H-thymidine) in 10 patients with bacterial infections were compared with results in 10 normal patients and contrasted with 23 CLL patients in different stages [12]. In patients with infectious diseases the absolute number of T cells was lower and the mean values of S-phase T cells and S-phase non-T cells was higher than in normal persons. In contrast to the patients with infections, CLL patients in stage 0–III have lower S-phase T cell values and higher S-phase non-T cell values. In stage IV, on the other hand, all DNA-synthesizing lymphocytes are increased.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Es werden die Ergebnisse der autoradiographischen Bestimmung DNA-synthetisierender Lymphozyten (3H-Thymidin) bei 10 Patienten mit bakteriellen Infekten mit den Ergebnissen bei 10 gesunden Personen verglichen und den Resultaten bei 23 CLL-Patienten in verschiedenen Krankheitsstadien gegenübergestellt. Bei Patienten mit Infektionen lagen die Mittelwerte der T-Zellen niedriger, die der T-Zellen und Nicht-T-Zellen in der S-Phase höher als bei Normalen. Gegenüber Infektpatienten zeigen die CLL-Patienten früher Krankheitsstadien niedrigere S-Phase-T-Zellwerte und höhere S-Phase-Nicht-T-Zellwerte; im fortgeschrittenen Stadium sind alle DNA-synthetisierenden Lymphozyten vermehrt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary Type-specific (presumably fiber) components of the adenovirus types 9, 9–15, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 26 were prepared by elution from DEAE columns. Their serological specificity was tested by means of complement-fixation and inhibition of indirect hemagglutination with rabbit immune sera prepared against all serotypes of group II. For comparison, HA-inhibition was also performed with directly acting hemagglutinin or dodecon antigen. Crossreactions between individual serotypes were similar in all three tests with only a few exceptions. This confirms the structural analogy of the serologically active, type-specific moiety of both components (fiber and dodecon). The induction of indirect hemagglutination by various adenovirus immune sera appears to be basically specific for the whole adenovirus group; but not all immune sera appear to contain the required antibody in sufficient strength.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Typenspezifische (wahrscheinlich Fiber-)Komponenten von Adenovirus Typ 9, 9–15, 13, 15, 17, 19 und 26 wurden durch Elution von DEAE-Säulen gewonnen. Ihre serologische Spezifität wurde mittels Komplementbindung und Hemmung der indirekten Hämagglutination unter Verwendung von Kaninchen-Immunseren aller Typen der Gruppe II untersucht. Zum Vergleich wurden auch HA-Hemmungstests mit direkt wirkendem Hämagglutinin (oder Dodecon) ausgeführt. Die Kreuzreaktionen zwischen einzelnen Typen stimmten mit wenigen Ausnahmen in allen drei Tests überein. Dies bestätigt die strukturelle Analogie des serologisch aktiven Antigens beider Komponenten (Fiber und Dodecon). Die Induktion der indirekten Hämagglutination durch Immunseren verschiedener Typen scheint ein gruppenspezifisches Phänomen zu sein; jedoch haben anscheinend nicht alle Immunseren den dafür erforderlichen Antikörper in genügend hohem Titer.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Bei 10 Patienten im Stadium des abgelaufenen Schlaganfalls mit Carotis interna-Verschluß und TEA der Gegenseite wurde die A. Carotis externa-Stenose der Verschlußseite durch Erweiterungsplastik beseitigt. Es traten keine intra- and postoperativen Komplikationen auf. Subjektiv gaben 7 Patienten eine Besserung des Gedächtnis and Leistungsvermögens an. Objektiv war bei allen eine Erhöhung der Hirndurchblutung der betroffenen Hemisphere im Durchschnitt um 27,6 % mittels Xenonclearance meßbar.
    Notes: Summary In ten patients who had had a stroke with occlusion of the internal carotid artery and TEA on the contralateral side, stenosis of the external carotid artery was treated by patch graft. There were no intra- or postoperative complications. In the subjective evaluation of seven patients, there was improvement in memory and ability. Objectively, we found on average a 27.6 % increased cerebral blood flow in the hemisphere treated in all patients as measured by Xenon clearance.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Im Klinikum rechts der Isar der TUM und an der Justus Liebig-Universität Gießen wurden bis 31. 12. 1981 242 regionale hypertherme Cytostaticaperfusionen durchgeführt, bei einer Temperatur von 40,5-41,0° C, über jeweils 1-2h. An Cytostatica wurden Melphalan, Aktinomycin, Cis-Platin, Dacarbazin und N-Lost verwandt. Die Wirkung dieser Therapie beruht 1. auf der additiven Wirkung von Hyperthermie und Cytostaticum, 2. auf der sehr hohen lokalen Cytostaticumkonzentration. An Komplikationen sahen wir 4 Muskelnekrosen (2 Amputationen), 20 zum größten Teil reversible neurologische Ausfälle, die Operationsletalität war 0 %.
    Notes: Summary At Klinikum rechts der Isar der TUM and Justus Liebig University at Gießen, regional, hyperthermic, and cytostatic perfusion is an established procedure. A total of 242 hyperthermic and cytostatic perfusions have been carried out. A temperature scale was chosen of between 40.5° and 41.0° C for 1— 2 h. The cytostatic agents used were: melphalan, actinomycin, cis-platin, dacarbazine, and N-lost. This therapeutic procedure is effective because of the cooperative effects between hyperthermia and cytostatic agents and the very high, local concentration levels of the cytostatic drugs. We noted 4 muscle necroses (2 amputations) and 20 neurological disorders that were mostly reversible. Operative lethality was zero.
