Notizen:
Summary Bradykinin (BK) improved the postoperatively impaired metabolism of carbohydrate and protein. Thus a postoperative change in the kininogen-kinin system may be the basis of postoperative insulin resistance. In patients after abdominal operations BK (80μg/h) normalized the usually pathologick-values of an intravenous glucose tolerance test (0.33 g/kg body wt.). BK reduced urinary N-excreation during infusion of glucose and electrolytes. During TPN the N-balance and the proportional N-utilization was improved by BK.
