Description / Table of Contents:
3-Pyrrolinediimines by the Reaction of Perchlorobutenyne with Primary Aromatic AminesThe reaction of perchlorobutenyne (1) with primary aromatic amines in THF or DMF leads to the chlorine-free title compounds 12. The structure of 12a is proven by X-ray structure analysis. As intermediates in the reaction 1 → 12 appear the ketenimines 3, which are prepared from 5 via 6 and 7, and furthermore probably 8, 9, 10, and 11. The reaction of 1 or 3d with a voluminous aliphatic amine like tert-butylamine stops apparently at 10a, which is transformed by water into 14a and by p-toluidine into 15. The pyrrolinediimines 12 are brominated to 16 and hydrolyzed by 2 N HCl to 17. The reaction course of perchlorobutatrine (18) with p-toluidine to 12b and with tert-butylamine to 14a is discussed.
Notes:
