Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract On the basis of the kinetic law of isotope exchange, it has been established that the heteroexchange of O2 occurs via two different mechanisms: 1/reversible adsorption resulting in the formation of two atomic species with different bonding strengths, and 2/formation of a triatomic complex from the oxygen molecule and an oxygen atom on the surface. Simultaneously, the homoexchange of molecular oxygen may take place by an associative mechanism.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The activity of barium nitride in the isotope exchange of nitrogen is 2–3 orders of magnitude higher than that of Fe and Ru. In the temperature range from 373 to 673 K the activation energy of exchange is 40 kJ/mol.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The activation energy Ea of oxygen evolution from the YBa2Cu3O7−/gs ceramics has been measured for σ ranging from 0 to 0.2. In the σ range from 0.15 to 0.18 oxygen is fairly homogeneous and its evolution is characterized by Ea=(36±3) kcal/mol. Temperature dependence of a low-field ESR signal of the ceramics have been studied at a frequency of 9.3 KHz nearby TC.

Notes: Abstract The outer surface of FeZSM-11 zeolite was selectively silylated without affecting the inner system of its channels. SiO2 deposition suppressed both the acidity and catalytic activity of the outer surface in mesitylene isomerization. Neither zeolite activity, nor its stability in N2O benzene oxidation to phenol have changed upon silylation. This fact gives evidence that the latter reaction proceeds primarily within the zeolite channels.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract Ammonia synthesis on nitrides CeN, UN1.70 and iron catalyst CA-1 has been examined at pressures of up to 100 bar. Reaction kinetics is described by the Temkin-Pyzhev equation. Activation energy for all samples is similar and equals about 200 kJ/mol. Specific catalytic activity of nitrides is lower than that of the iron catalyst by a factor of 3–4 for uranium and 10 for cerium.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The rates of14N2 desorption from the surfaces of nitrides have been measured in the presence and absence of15N2 in the gas phase. Whatever the adsorption heat and the form of surface species, the adsorption of15N2 molecules does not affect the rate of14N2 desorption.
