Summary A phenol water extract of ORh-positive erythrocytes prepared at 66–68°C inhinits the hemagglutination of ORh-positive erythrocytes by incomplete human Rh-antibodies. The active component of this extract is thermostable, hardly soluble in water, but casily soluble in diluted hydrochloric acid. It is not dialysable and not electrodialysable. Periodate counteracts the inhibitory action of the hardly soluble component of the extract. Acid hydrolysis, however, produces no loss of activity.

Zusammenfassung Ein bei 66–68° hergestellter Phenolwasserextrakt aus ORh-positiven Erythrozyten hemmt die Hämagglutination ORh-positiver Erythrozyten durch inkomplette menschliche Rh-Antikörper. Die wirksame Komponente dieses Extraktes ist thermostabil, schwerlöslich in Wasser, aber leichtlöslich in verdünnter Salzsäure; sie ist nicht dialysierbar und nicht elektrodialysierbar. Durch Perjodar-Einwirkung geht die Hemmwirkung des schwerlöslichen Anteils des Extraktes verloren. Saure Hydrolyse bewirkt dagegen keinen Aktivitätsverlust.
