Notizen:
An electrodeless method has been developed for measuring an ionic conductivity of a superionic conductor. This technique allows us to obtain an intrinsic ionic conductivity, free from the ambiguous electrode–specimen interface problem. In principle, the application of alternating magnetic field to the pelletized RbAg4I5 specimen induces ionic current. The ionic conductivity of the specimen can be evaluated from the magnetic field generated by the ionic current. A AgI specimen is used to calibrate the measuring system. The ionic conductivity of RbAg4I5 measured by this method is in good agreement with those of earlier works.
