Description / Table of Contents:
Summary You find activity of adenosinetriphosphatase in the neutrophilic and eosinophilic granulocytes, monocytes and reticulum cells of the smears of bone marrow and blood. The reaction is of importance for the diagnosis of myeloma. Only 3.6% of the neoplastic plasma cells show activity (25 × 0, 11 × 1, 5 × 2, 2 × 4, 1 × 6, 7, 8, 11, 16, 17, 21, 23 and 51%), while 62.4% of the plasma cells of patients without myeloma are positive.
Notes:
