Beim Osteosarkom kommt eine Strahlentherapie allenfalls als prophylaktische Ganzbestrahlung der Lunge in Frage, die präoperative Bestrahlung des Primärtumors hat sich nicht bewährt. Beim Ewing-Sarkom andererseits ist die primäre und lokale Strahlentherapie als Methode der Wahl anzusehen, gefolgt von einer über lange Zeit hin zu gebenden adjuvanten Polychemotherapie.
    Notizen: Summary The role of radiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy in the primary treatment of osteogenic sarcomas and of Ewing's sarcoma is reviewed. In osteosarcoma radiotherapy can take the form of prophylactic total irradiation of the lung, but preoperative irradiation of the primary tumor has not proved successful. On the other hand, in Ewing's sarcoma primary and local irradiation is the therapy of choice, and is followed by adjuvant polychemotherapy over a long period.

Die Eingriffe bei cerebrovasculärer Insuffizienz (378 Kranke), renovasculärer Hypertonie (257 Kranke) and Angina intestinalis (24 Pat.) ermöglichen bei niedriger operativer Letalität and Morbidität eine Lebensverlängerung, bei Verschlüssen im Aorta-Iliaca-Bereich (2547 Pat.) and am femoro-poplitealen Abschnitt (1440 Pat.) gilt die Erhaltung der Extremität als therapeutisches Ziel. Bei peripheren (303 Pat.) and Aortenaneurysmen (296 Pat.) ist fur ein gutes Behandlungsergebnis der frühzeitige Eingriff vor dem Auftreten von Komplikationen (Thromboembolie bzw. Ruptur) Voraussetzung.
    Notizen: Summary The long-term follow-up results of reconstructive vascular surgery are demonstrated in 5245 patients operated on in the University Surgical Clinics in Cologne and Munich (1959–1974). With low surgical lethality and morbidity, operative treatment of cerebrovascular insufficiency (378 patients) or renovascular hypertension (257 patients) guarantees longer survival. In cases of aorto-iliacal (2547 patients) and femoropopliteal (1440 patients) occlusion, the object of therapy is the preservation of the extremity. For good results, operative treatment of peripheral and aortic aneurysms should be performed before complications such as thromboembilism or rupture of the aneurysm occur.

    Notizen: Abstract Simultaneous observations of type III radio bursts from spacecraft separated by 0.43 AU have been made using the solar orbiters HELIOS-A and HELIOS-B. The burst beginning at 19:22 UT on March 28, 1976 has been located from the intersection of the source directions measured at each spacecraft, and from burst arrival time differences. The source positions range from 0.03 AU from the Sun at 3000 kHz to 0.08 AU at 585 kHz. The electron density along the burst trajectory, and the exciter velocity (=0.13c) were determined directly, without the need to assume a density model as has been done with single-spacecraft observations. The separation of HELIOS-A and -B has also provided the first measurements of burst directivity at low frequencies. For the March 28 burst the intensity observed from near the source longitude (HELIOS-B) was 3–10 dB greater than that from 60° west of the source (HELIOS-A).

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Die durchschnittlichen Aktivitäten (IE/106 Zellen) der sauren Phosphatasen und die prozentuale Verteilung der Isoenzyme der sauren Phosphatasen wurden aus Lysaten von normalen und leukämischen weißen Blutzellen bestimmt. Bei 4 Patienten mit Haarzell-Leukämie lag der Anteil des Isoenzyms 5 geringfügig über dem der tartratresistenten Zellen. Bei 2 Patienten mit einer fraglichen Haarzell-Leukämie waren deutliche Isoenzym-5-Fraktionen, aber keine tartratresistenten Zellen zu erkennen. Bei einem Patienten mit Haarzell-Leukämie wurde bei einem hohem Anteil tartratresistenter Haarzellen eine auffallend geringere Isoenzym-5-Fraktion gefunden. Diese unterschiedlichen Beziehungen wurden mit der empfindlichen Nachweismethode der Gelelektrophorese und unterschiedlicher Substrataffinität erklärt.
    Notizen: Summary The activities of acid phosphatases (AP) were measured in leukocytes from patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML), macrophages, granulocytes, in the fractionated mononuclear cells of patients with CML and with hairy-cell-leukemia (HCL) and in the cells from patients with acute leukemia (AL). The lowest activities were found in lymphocytes of normal subjects and of patients with chronic lymphatic leukemia (CLL) and in thrombocytes. Isoenzyme (IsE) l was characteristic for thymocytes, IsE 2 for granulocytes, IsE 3 for pathologic blast-cells, lymphocytes and thrombocytes, IsE 4 for macrophages, IsE 5 with components a and b for the mononuclear fraction of patients with HCL. In addition IsE5 was detected in lymphocytes, macrophages and CLL-cells. In 4 patients with HCL the relative percentage of IsE-5-fraction was slightly greater than the percentage of tartrate resistant cells. In two patients with questionable HCL well marked IsE-5-fractions were recognized but no tartrate resistant cells. In one patient with HCL a relatively high percentage of tartrate resistant hairy-cells and in comparison an inadäquate low IsE-5-fraction was found. These different relations were explained with the more sensitive method of gelelectrophoresis and different affinity of substrates to AP.

Diese Diskrepanz zwischen zytochemischer und gelelektrophoretischer Darstellbarkeit wird mit einer unterschiedlichen Substrataffinität und Membranpassage der Substrate erklärt.
    Notizen: Summary The cytochemical and gelelectrophoretic demonstration of acid phosphatases with substratesα-naphthyl phosphate and naphthol AS-BI phosphate and with couplers fast garnet GBC and hexazotized pararosanilin is described. Cytochemically best results are achieved with naphthol AS-BI phosphate and pararosanilin, electrophoretically however withα-naphthyl phosphate and pararosanilin. This discrepancy ist explained by a different substrate affinity and membrane penetration of substrates.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Die Expression der sauren Phosphatasen sind das stärkste zytochemische Merkmal lymphoider Zellinien. In einigen Zellen erscheint die saure Phosphatase zytochemisch resistent gegen Tartrat. Die tartratresistenten Isoenzyme 5 mit den Komponenten a und b lassen sich sowohl bei Fraktionierung der sauren Phosphatasen aus Monozyten, Lymphozyten, chronisch lymphatischen Leukämiezellen und besonders aus Haarzellen als auch in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung in Zellinien von einem gesunden Spender darstellen. Die gelelektrophoretische Fraktionierung der sauren Phosphatasen in angereicherten Lymphozyten zeigt vorwiegend das Isoenzym 3, in angereicherten Makrophagen das Isoenzym 4. In einigen Zellinien ist das Isoenzym 4 nicht nachzuweisen. Es wird daraus geschlossen, daß diese Zellinien möglicherweise ausschließlich lymphozytären Ursprungs sind, während diejenigen mit Nachweis des Isoenzyms 4 vielleicht Produkte einer fakultativen Hybridisierung aus Lymphozyten und Monozyten sind. Profile der sauren Phosphatasen in Virus-negativen Zellinien (Ramos, BJAB) werden durch Konversion mit EBV nicht eindeutig verändert.
    Notizen: Summary The expression of acid phosphatases is cytochemically one of the most important features in permanent growing B-cell-lines. In few cell lines acid phosphatase is resistant against tartrate. Tartrate resistant isoenzyme 5 with components a und b can be demonstrated in monocytes, lymphocytes, chronic lymphatic leucemic cells and especially in hairy cells as well as in cell lines derived from a healthy donor. Fractionation of acid phosphatase by gelelectrophoresis in separated lymphocytes demonstrates especially isoenzyme 3, in separated macrophages isoenzyme 4. Isoenzyme 4 could not be detected in several cell lines. It is therefore concluded that these cell lines are probably derived from lymphocytic precursors. Cell lines with isoenzyme 4 may be the result of a facultative hybridisation between lymphocytes and monocytes. Profiles of acid phosphatases in virus-negative cell lines (Ramos, BJAB) were not significantly altered by conversion with EBV.

Judet entwickelte TEP besteht aus Acetabulum und Femuranteil, die beide als Besonderheit eine rauhe und poröse Oberfläche zur Verankerung durch EinsproBung von Knochenbälkchen aufweist. Eine genügend tiefe und exakte Ausfräsung des Acetabulums zur Aufnahme des Pfannenimplantates sowie einwandfreies Knochenmaterial sind wesentliche VorauBetzung für einen absolut festen Sitz. Das Verfahren bietet die VorauBetzung einer längeren Haltbarkeit gegenüber der Zementimplantation. Trotzdem wird man auf die mit Zement zu implantierenden Totalendoprothesen beim älteren Menschen nicht verzichten können.
    Notizen: Summary Judet developed a TEP consisting of acetabulum and femur prothesis, both of which exhibit a rough surface. The latter enables fixation by bone formation. A deep and exact milling of the acetabulum is required for taking the implantation of the cylinder. Good condition of the bone is neceBary too for excellent positioning. This method provides longer stability compared to the previously used procedure. NevertheleB, in aged patients TEP with cement might be preferred because of quicker mobilization.

    Notizen: Abstract New observations of the out-of-the ecliptic trajectories of type III solar radio bursts have been obtained from simultaneous direction finding measurements on two independent satellite experiments, IMP-6 with spin plane in the ecliptic, and RAE-2 with spin plane normal to the ecliptic. Burst exciter trajectories were observed which originated at the active region and then crossed the ecliptic plane at about 0.8 AU. We find a considerable large scale north-south component of the interplanetary magnetic field followed by the exciters. The apparent north-south and east-west angular source sizes observed by the two spacecraft are approximately equal, and range from 25° at 600 kHz to 110° at 80 kHz.
