Summary Within the scope of a study on the effects of experimental changes in annual photoperiodic cycles on morphogenetic, physiological-chemical and haematological parameters in adult male fallow deer, there were investigated among others, the courses of creatinine and urea as well as the activities of lipase and α-amylase in the blood. In spite of deviations the plasma levels of the last three parameters did not show any determinable annual periodicity or any relation to particular phases in the antler cycle during the 2 ‘6-month years’ of the investigation. Their presence in the blood, as well as their vast range of deviation, is discussed by means of examples. In contrast to this, the creatinine level showed a distinct annual periodicity with an obvious correlation of the maxima to the period hard antlers are carried.
