    Notes: Abstract Using three different samples of Os192, Os190 and Os186 enriched to 98.68%, 95.46%, and 61.27%, respectively, the isotopic shiftsΔν(Os192−Os190) andΔν(Os192−Os186) have been measured in four Os I-lines with a recording Fabry-Perot spectrometer. The relative isotopic position of Os186 has been found to be $$\frac{{\Delta \nu (Os^{192} - Os^{186} )}}{{\Delta \nu (Os^{192} - Os^{190} )}} = 3.52 \pm 0.03.$$

    Notes: Abstract Using 4 mg of radiogenic Os187 the hyperfine structure of this isotope has been investigated with a recording Fabry-Perot interferometer. From the measurement of intensities and distances of the hyperfine-structure components in three fine-structure lines the spin and the magnetic moment of the Os187 nucleus have been determined to beI=1/2 andμ I =+(0,0652±0,0011) n.m. In three fine-structure lines the isotopic shift has been measured and the relative isotopic shift of Os187 has been found to be $$\frac{{\Delta v(Os^{192} - Os^{187} )}}{{\Delta v(Os^{192} - Os^{190} )}} = 3,09 \pm 0,03$$ . The two classifications of the fine-structure line λ 4261 Å have been verified by observing both transitions in Os187.

    Notes: Abstract The production and the performance of dielectric multilayer mirrors for Fabry-Perot interferometers from 20000 Å to 2350 Å are described. Details of the evaporation apparatus and techniques are given. The optical data — reflection factor, absorption factor and flatness — are represented graphically and discussed. For all wavelength cryolite served as low refractive material. The high refractive materials used were ZnS for wavelengths from the infrared to λ〉4100 Å, Sb2O3 for λ between 4200 Å and 3200 Å and PbF2 for the shorter wavelengths to λ=2350 Å. For PbF2 an exciton-band at 2190 Å has been found.

    Notes: Abstract The3He(γ, p)d reaction has been measured in the photon energy region between 200 MeV and 450 MeV at proton c.m. angles between 20° and 150°. Protons and deuterons were detected in coincidence with two time-of-flight spectrometers consisting of scintillation counters; both particles were identified and their energies and angles were measured. The angular distributions show a strong forward peak. The differential cross sections fall off with increasing photon energy without showing a significant influence of theΔ resonance.

    Notes: Abstract The photoproduction of charged pions on12C has been investigated using the tagged photon beam facility at the Bonn 500 MeV synchrotron. Pions were detected in a broad range magnetic spectrometer. Double differential cross sections for pion emission at fixed photon energies are presented. The integration of the measured distributions yields the total cross section for inclusive pion production. The data are compared to the predictions of a simple model that takes the quasifree production of pions and their subsequent scattering and reabsorption into account.

    Notes: Abstract π 0 photoproduction has been measured on12C,13C and16O in theΔ-resonance region. By limiting the acceptance of theπ 0 spectrometer to small angles (Θ≦10°), only the coherent channel could contribute. The data show a broadening of the resonance width whereas the peak energy remains essentially unchanged. Theoretical calculations give considerably lower values compared with our data.

    Notes: Abstract Data are presented for proton emission off12C using tagged photons in the energy range 200–385 MeV. The protons are detected in a magnetic spectrometer. In addition, charged or neutral particles can be measured with a scintillation counter setup. Contributions to the proton energy spectra from primary pion production and quasideuteron reactions are separated using the coincidence data. The total12C(γ, p)X cross section is derived as a function of the photon energy. The data are compared to the predictions of an intranuclear cascade calculation. Final state interactions have to be taken into account to describe the data.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Hyperfeinstruktur des Nd II-Spektrums wurde zwischen 4000 und 6500 Å mit einemFabry-Perot-Interferometer untersucht. Aus den beobachteten Isotopieverschiebungen in den Linien ergeben sich die experimentellen Isotopieverschiebungskonstanten zu:βC exp(142–144)=187±35,βC exp(144–146)=169±35,βC exp(146–148)=171±35 undβC exp(148–150)=260± 50(10−3cm−1). Diese Werte stimmen, wenn man auf gleiche Neutronenzahlen bezieht, mit den für die Sm-Isotope gefundenen Werten innerhalb der Fehlergrenzen überein. Daraus kann geschlossen werden, daß die Änderungen der Kerndeformationen, bezogen auf gleiche Neutronenzahlen, in beiden Elementen von nahezu gleicher Größe sind. Die von der im Nd I-Spektrum beobachteten relativen Isotopenlage etwas abweichende relative Isotopenlage in den Nd II-Linien kann man durch die Annahme erklären, daß in den untersuchten Nd I-Linien1 die Isotope ungerader Massenzahl nur eine kleine magnetische Aufspaltung besitzen und ihre Schwerpunkte im Sinne eines „odd-even-staggering“ verschoben sind. Weiter konnte gezeigt werden, daß die tiefen Terme ungerader Parität des Nd II-Spektrums sich durch eine Mischung der Konfigurationen 4f 4 6p und 4f 36s 2 beschreiben lassen.
