Zusammenfassung Als feinstrukturell-morphometrisches Korrelat der bei extrahepatischer Cholestase beobachteten Aktivitätserhöhung der GLDH im Serum ließ sich eine Schwellung der Mitochondrien in der Leber nachweisen. Die morphometrischen Veränderungen gehen mit den serochemischen Befunden parallel: zwischen Mitochondrienschwellung und GLDH-Aktivität im Serum besteht eine signifikante Korrelation.

Summary Corresponding to the increased activity of mitochondrial Glutamate-Dehydrogenase (GLDH) in serum in extrahepatic cholestasis a swelling of hepatic mitochondria could be shown on ultrastructural morphometric analysis. The morphometric alterations parallel the serochemical findings. A significant correlation could be calculated between the swelling of mitochondria and the activity of GLDH in serum.
